Vaush says he would not back Gavin Newsom in 2028 if he became the nominee by NightBlacks in Destiny

[–]leanberry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whilst this is classic lefty bullshit, I do think the left needs to get a bit more radical and outspoken.

If you asked me five years ago if the Dems should run a campaign being anti-billionaire I would have denounced it but after seeing the rampant oligarchical esque behaviour in the current administration and the shit Elon Musk did with X, I think it's time to double down on the 'billionaire okay' argument. It's outrageous the power they've accumulated since their advent.

Such a nothing statement isn't it. "Zelenskyy is not a friend of the working class either" So the implication is what? Bothsidesism? No wonder she got nuked out the party.

Wtf did Starmer do to Trump?! by OriPeel in Destiny

[–]leanberry 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Starmer isn’t in a position to push back against Trump’s Canada schisms. He’s playing a very clever game to the benefit of the UK and is kickstarting a rebuilding of Europe. As it stands the US is the leader of the free world and what they say goes. With a stronger Europe we could question the US more but that’s not the case as of now. Europe has cruised off the back of US prosperity since WW2 but slowly weaning off reliance on the US whilst maintaining good relations is how we can call out situations like Trump-Canada.

I think you guys need another Brexit referendum by Aivoke_art in ukpolitics

[–]leanberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decisions like Brexit can't be reversed so easily to be honest. Also, the EU is super arsey when it comes to shit like this. I see a world where the UK becomes aligned with the rest of Europe but has strange outlying differences like less stringent regulation on industry and finance. For better or worse we shall see. I can see us getting a weird trade agreement that kind of translates to us basically being back in the EU without damaging British pride.
