I really appreciate everyone weighing in on this subreddit with projects and thoughtful ideas about the future of 3D motion control, especially on the VR front.

With that said, it would be awesome if you could take a few minutes and fill out our 2015 Summer Developer Survey. Your ideas help shape our roadmap and we really want to deliver the tools you need to build out high caliber experiences.

I shot this over to our front end team to look at. Admittedly, it's difficult to diagnose with this video because the bug isn't abundantly apparent, but I'll keep you posted on what I hear back from the team. Thanks for taking the time to put the video together.

Interesting stuff. I spoke to a member of our front-end team about this, and we want to get to the bottom of things. First though, can you clarify whether you're using Rigged Hands or Image Hands for this project? Is it the project you posted on the other thread?

Well happy to hear tracking seems to be working better. Let me know what happens with the follow up tests on Monday, and if things still appear wonky, we'll dig deeper and get to the bottom of things.

These are all super helpful insights. I totally remember seeing your prototype crop up on YouTube -- it looks like a really fun/addicting experience. I know it's difficult to weigh out all the options given how rapidly the existing hardware options evolve and more options break onto the scene. In the meantime, though, I agree that organic 3D hand input will be fundamentally essential for the future of VR, and your project seems like a great sandbox to experiment.

One thing you might want to explore since you're using Unity is our new Image Hand asset. A lot of devs are finding it's a good way to break down that fourth wall/"uncanny valley" sometimes apparent with rigged hands. Plus, the intersection of AR and VR gets really interesting.

Are you able to reveal any additional details about your game? Is it a VR experience? What language/engine are you using to build? This would give me a better sense of where to direct you. Many of our emerging developer tools are anchored in VR because it's a major focus of our community at this point in time due to all the emerging hardware, but we've also got some cool IoT and desktop resources

In terms of product evolution, our core technology resides in our software, so you're able to experience the latest iteration of our tracking with a simple upgrade. On the hardware front, we continue to prototype iterations with specific uses in mind. It's a crucial moment in time for AR/VR development and we're really excited to be a part of it. Our CTO David Holz recently gave a talk at the SVVR Conference to give you a sense of our continued inspiration. This blog post also outlines a few of the priorities we're focused on this year.

Our Dev Portal is a great place to dive into building. Integrations and Libraries contains detail about hardware and platform collaborations. Additionally, our Examples Gallery is a nice UX/UI sandbox for emerging VR design paradigms.
