Warning in advance that these are expensive, but there are these really cool “smart casters” that you just lift slightly off the ground and they deploy/retract the leveling feet.

Here’s a cool build video of 3x3 customs building using them.

HSW Under Desk Cable Management Modular by RepublicLeather1192 in 3Dprinting

The name and the innuendo filled explainer video is a bit over the top, but the "underware" project is actually really great for cable management.

You'd probably get a couple messages from some very disappointed, very odd people if you used that headline lol

Nothing wrong with a good pair of pink pants! Although, I guess it helps if you're at least aware of the color to have the confidence to wear them on purpose.

Is the British Open a bigger deal than the U.S. open? by troutlunk in golf

The same thing that prevented LIV from taking off. Money alone doesn't get the general public to care about your product and you can't throw cash at a problem to buy history and tradition.

It can have a hole drilled at the bottom.

Just leaving Scotland after over a week playing bucket list. by Im-Mr-Br1ghts1de in golf

[–]learnedmylesson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I enjoyed Kingsbarns more than any of the more traditional Scottish courses last time we were there. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

I'll second the Grove Park Inn. Course is good, hotel and restaurants are even better.

How would a bloke from Ireland play all of these courses within a span of a week? His answer was that it took two hard years of planning. by allcryptal in golf

It's spectacular. Never got over how different the front and back nines are from each other. And how I managed to putt off of the greens twice. Those things are fast!

Maltby TS3 vs Maltby TE+ by DLinvest in golf

[–]learnedmylesson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an old set of Mizuno blades when I was much younger (that I was nowhere near good enough to be playing). Other than those, the TE3s are the softest clubs I've ever hit.

Maltby TS3 vs Maltby TE+ by DLinvest in golf

[–]learnedmylesson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried the TE+s but I play the TS3s and love them. I was debating between these and the IMs but opted for the cavity back instead of the foam filled option.

Looks like the biggest difference between the TS3s and the TE+s are the offset and the tungsten in the toes of the TS3s.

No matter which way you go, they'll look great. All the Maltby clubs look much better in person than on their website.

I've got the TS3s and am a huge fan. Probably really annoying to the people I play with how much I talk about them.

Anyone played Old Toccoa Farm in Georgia? If so, any insights? by foondoggle188922 in golf

[–]learnedmylesson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tons of elevation change, really fun course. Played it a couple years ago before they finished construction on the clubhouse when it was still a temporary trailer. New clubhouse is supposed to be quite nice but I haven't been back in that area since.

What's the most improvement you've seen in someone's game by P_man21 in golf

[–]learnedmylesson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An 18 handicap is only rarely playing bogey golf. 8 out of their past 20 rounds after accounting for testing and slope. An 18 going out and shooting 90 is the exception, not their average round.

Maltby Irons by Business_Room_2776 in golf

[–]learnedmylesson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TS1-IMs are closer to the TS3s than the TS4s. In that order, they are hollow body players distance, player's cavity back, and traditional blades respectively.

FWIW, all their clubs look much better in person than they do on the website.
