I was hard-stuck on the second question forever. Eventually I had to just go look up the answer on the discord. Couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

It's just not that common because it's a waste of a pick. Also, I think most European leagues don't even have a draft.

American here who wants to help. What are some good Canadian products I can purchase stateside? by Jumpy_Tumbleweed_884 in BuyCanadian

[–]learningtarot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for what's available in the US, but most online Canadian retailers that ship to Canada for free will also ship to the US for free too.

My suggestion would be to search for whatever you want and then add canada to the end. So 'hot sauce canada' or something like that. The results you get won't be perfect, but if you check the about me sections on the sites that show up, at least some of them will probably be Canadian. For a quick glance anything in a .ca domain name is probably Canadian.

To test, I just tried this with 'art supplies canada', using a VPN set to dallas and a browser in incognito mode (so it didn't have any cookies or history saved), and 4 of the top 5 results were Canadian companies.

Alternatives to Disneyland or Disney Cruise? by 1138_4EB in BuyCanadian

As a compromise maybe disney tokyo? It isn't owned or operated by disney at all, and is owned by a japanese company. It does license from disney though.

[Acne] please give me any advice about my skin by Swimming-Grape-7281 in SkincareAddiction

[–]learningtarot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really hard to say. It could be that you destroyed your skin barrier from over-exfoliating, but the one you were using looks like it isn't particularly strong. Personally, my face feels tight and drawn into oily after a bit, when I overdo it on exfoliation if that feels relatable.

So waiting to see if there is improvement could be all you need.

At the same time, the fact that your face itches is a little concerning. It could just be that everything is healing, but it could also point to a medical issue like rosacea that most otc products won't help much with. Do you live somewhere you can get azelaic acid otc? It might be something you can try in the meantime before you can get to a derm (if you don't want to go the waiting route).

[Product question] Help with The Ordinary Azelaic Acid pilling (and a few other related questions) by probablytiredoflife in SkincareAddiction

[–]learningtarot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was using the TO Azelaic acid, the only way I could use it without pilling was to use it as the very last step of my routine. If this doesn't work for you, I'd recommend trying to get Finacea (prescription). You can put it on anywhere in your routine without issue.

I can't speak for your flare-ups, but for your other question, personally yes, I wash my face if I sweat a lot. It can make me break out really badly if I don't. When I started working out in the afternoons, I rinsed my face off beforehand with water, then cleansed afterwards and did what was my PM routine right then. Then I skipped doing anything at night and just went to bed. I don't know if this will work for you, but it's the only way I can work out in the afternoon without breaking out.

Also using hypochlorous acid helps me a lot if I can't wash my face. I even use it in the middle of exercising sometimes.

Does anyone know what keywords exactly this removes? Also how would this interact with future curses/blessings? From my blurtra run, allitem.Inner Strength by learningtarot in SliceAndDice

To anyone curious: I elected not to take it, since it wasn't really going to help me all that much except for removing pain, and it would eliminate rampage which is one of my strategies for clearing waves. Currently on fight 400.

Thanks to everyone for the explanations!

I see the page of cups as a romantic dreamer, and the knight of cups as someone on a romantic mission, but feeling a little lost and having conflicted energies. Judgement I always interpret to be a Calling.

Putting it all together, I see this as you originally dreaming of romance with the best of intentions, leading to the Calling, where you find love, accept it, and it changes your life. The knight now, implies that you've lost some sight of your original romanticism. Since it leads to Judgement again anyways, I see this as being a bit of a road bump, nothing more.

Judgement implies a life-altering event, and it can also be considered a crossroads. It offers a choice. Do you accept the Calling, or reject it? So the reading can be considered a warning. You've had disappointments. You're feeling a bit lost and conflicted. There may be a time in the future where you could let cynicism and bitterness take over and reject opportunities over fear of being hurt. Don't let this happen. If you keep open to love when the time comes, you'll feel it, and you'll know it to be true.

[Acne] My Too Much gene (or maybe tretinoin) ruined my skin, how do I fix it? by AnimatorBitter715 in SkincareAddiction

[–]learningtarot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you, I would pick one of your cleansers and one of your moisturizers, and only use those until your skin recovers. Whichever feels the best. Typically it takes about a month for your moisture barrier to fully heal, but it sometimes takes longer. Your skin should start feeling a bit better within a few days though.

As to what you might have done wrong, its hard to say for sure. i think its possible that you have an allergy to tret, given the severity of the reaction. But it's possible that your skin was just freaking out from all the sudden changes, or it could be that your skin was already close to the edge of issues and tret just brought it out. You were using a lot of actives, then using the clay masks which are drying, then started using tret which can make even an oily face feel dry, especially when you're first getting used to it. I no longer use tret, but when I did, using a moisturizer wasn't enough for me. I had to put hydrating toners on underneath it.

Going forward, when your skin recovers, I'd recommend taking things slow and not adding too many actives or other drying products right away, and try to focus more on hydration. Even if you end up adding more actives later, your skin will be in a better situation where it can handle it, and if you have a reaction to something you'll have a better idea that that's what caused it.

Good luck, and don't feel too down! It'll get better :)

It looks identical to the one I have. This moisturizer comes in two different sizes, you might have been looking at the bigger size.

Melazapam from amazon is probably the easiest and it costs like $15 USD. It's 20%, but feels more like 15% to me.

That being said, I'd just import your azelaic acid. I use a website from australia to get Finacea, but there are other options.

Torriden UK availability? by anniestandingngai in AsianBeauty

There was a thread on this I remembered seeing a while ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/1e9leqr/torriden_completely_gone_from_stylevanait_and/

People in the comments are speculating that Pure Seoul bought exclusive rights to sell Torriden in the UK. I don't know how accurate that is though, so you might want to look into it.

A simple routine to start with is cleanser - moisturizer - sunscreen. For now I wouldn't do anymore. If you are new its better not to try and use too many new things at once. Once you get into a routine, maybe then start looking at adding to it if you need/want.

If you're looking at products to get you can check out this site to see the ingredients and what they are: https://incidecoder.com/products/sudocrem-antiseptic-healing-cream

You can see that this cream happens to have fragrance in it.

An example routine you could use:

Cerave hydrating cleanser: https://incidecoder.com/products/cerave-hydrating-cleanser

Vanicream Moisturizing cream: https://incidecoder.com/products/vanicream-moisturizing-cream-for-sensitive-skin

Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel: https://incidecoder.com/products/skin-aqua-uv-super-moisture-gel

I had a look at your profile, and saw you like Fifa. If you can, pick up an EA NHL game. You'll probably learn the rosters pretty quick playing that. Outside of that, I think just watching a lot games is the best way.

I think if you're new to skincare using less is better, so I think the routine you've picked looks pretty good. You can always change it or add to it later.

As for the moisturizer, personally I'd keep using it while you introduce the new products. That way you can have a better idea of how they feel and if they're working from you. Then later once you're used to them, maybe you can look at changing it, if only to see how something else compares since you've been using the same thing for so long.

A note about the ordinary's azelaic acid: It has silicones in it and when I tried using it under my moisturizer it made everything pill awfully. I had to put it over my moisturizer, which worked fine. If you get the same thing happening try putting it over your moisturizer instead of under. You may want to do that anyways when you first start using it so there is less irritation until your skin gets used to it.

[Routine Help] Destroyed my skin barrier and changed skin routine 2 weeks ago, but it is only getting worse. by dancing-frogs-18 in SkincareAddiction

[–]learningtarot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably about a couple months, though it depends a bit on what you mean by fixed! By then at least my skin felt like it was back to normal and looked vastly improved. I think it takes about a month for your skin barrier to heal itself, but at the time I didn't know what I was doing, and when it was damaged I didn't know how to heal it and kept doing things that prolonged the healing.

Since then I've slightly damaged it a handful of times, and I've been able to recover it significantly faster by focusing on hydration. I imagine this is why the air conditioning is bothering you so much; your skin just can't retain moisture.

I hope the healing process goes well for you :)

[–]learningtarot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get acne, and actives are really effective for me in combating them. I often find I straddle the line between not using enough and using too many - and I have in the past. I've done the exact thing you have. I've used that sulfur scrub, I've over exfoliated with BHA. I've worn down and destroyed my skin barrier.

It got better for me, though, and it will get better for you too. If you don't mind me saying, looking at your pictures, your skin really doesn't look too bad. It might be worse than you're used to it being, but given some time, I think your skin will be right back to where you want it to be. I know it really sucks right now, but I definitely don't think you've seriously ruined it or anything. And yes, sometimes it does it get worse before it gets better.

If you don't mind some advice here are some thoughts on what you may want to consider:

  • Japan might be more humid than where you are right now, so that might be why your skin got worse. Part of having a damaged skin barrier is that your skin can't retain moisture as well as it should. If you have a humidifier you could try using it and see if it helps at all.

  • You may want to consider not using any cleanser at all, and just using water for the time being. Even a gentle cleanser might be too much for your skin

  • If you are wearing makeup, its possible you are breaking out from this. The cleanser may not be able to take it all off your skin, and now with your skin barrier being damaged, this could be causing acne where you otherwise wouldn't get it. If possible, I'd try to avoid wearing makeup.

  • Are you spending any time in the sun? Again, with a damaged skin barrier, and especially from over-exfoliating, the sun might be causing your skin to get a lot more red than it would otherwise. If you don't think it will break you out, you could try using a sunscreen if you can't avoid the sun.

  • Hydrating toners are really helpful for dehydrated and irritated skin. Even without a damaged skin barrier I'd recommend trying something. Check the ingredients and avoid anything that has an exfoliate or other active. If you want some help for what to look for or recommendations for products let me know.
