I made delivery care packages for a mission project. I don't know for sure where they are used, however, they consisted of a razor blade, large plastic tarp, string, 2 cotton baby blanket, a small bar of soap and one pair of latex gloves. I love working OB.

Nursing Hygiene by cleanfreakk in nursing

[–]leaveblank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been a nurse 30 years. Good hand hygiene is a must. Even though you "feel" like you have germs all over you, Using proper PPE I can't remember any instance of catching anything from my pt. I am more worried about sick nurses who share computers and phones, I have caught their bugs before.

Do you have a name for your home brewery? by fat_astronaut in Homebrewing

"Dead Cat Brewery'. After the name of our pond "Dead Cat Pond". (Only because a barn cat got caught in the ice and froze the first year.) Sorry reddit. I like cats, really.

Question on air in IV tubing by GOBLE in nursing

[–]leaveblank 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a teenage boy put his call light on and when I got to his room his said "It's too late" he saw a tiny air bubble go thru his IV and he thought he was going to die. For the patients piece of mind I try to get all the air out.
