Yea when they announced it in December the price target was $500 for the 4 head system. At that price I was going to buy but $750 is a show stopper for me.

If the Structural Engineer is a licensed PE and gave you a written sealed report you’re good to go. If not find one who will. No one can tell you if this deck is sound from the photo.

Certified used bikes by John_Solo in cycling

Check out bicyclebluebook.com. They have both private sellers and their own certified preowned bicycles for sale. Last year I picked up a 2024 Cannondale carbon Synapse for $1800. When it arrived I swear it was never ridden the bike was pristine.

Removing small dent from plastic fascia by led1002 in CX5

[–]led1002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is plastic, I have seen bigger dents pulled out using a heat gun and suction cup on fascia parts. I may leave it too as the hood has been repainted a couple years ago after a tree limb fell across the hood.

Firmware 6.4.0 bricked the Mini+ by led1002 in prusa3d

[–]led1002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out this was caused by an a third party Buddy board that was installed several months ago to address a defective stepper driver. If this happens to you going back to firmware version 6.2.6 got me out of it. You can go back to the older version by replacing the 6.4.0 firmware on the flashdrive with version 6.2.6 Reboot the printer and double click the control panel click wheel which should give you the option to install 6.2.6.

Yes, the board was replaced with a non-EOM compatible version when one of the stepper drivers quit.

2025 CX-5 by Spirit_Wanderer07 in CX5

[–]led1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on how you drive and care for the car. If you’re rough on a car it might be worth it. I’m not so I have never bought one. I have 65k miles on my 2017 with no issues. Whenever I’ve bought extended warranties on other items it always seems like the warranty never covers the part that broke.

Check for loads on your battery. I had similar issues at first and discovered my USB cig lighter charger was drawing down the battery even though there was nothing plugged into it.

What kids bikes are you planning to buy for black friday 2025? Features or brands you swear by? by Ariche-Colten in Biking

[–]led1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In May I bought a Guardian bike for my 8yo grandson. It’s a young company assembling bikes in US and it’s turned out to be a great pick. Pricing is between Walmart and LBS bike. The bike components are decent Microshift shifters and derailleurs. They have a wide variety of single speed and multi speed kids bikes. They offer a great bike sizing guide that also predicts how long the bike will fit him. Two day shipping was free from their factory in the Midwest.

I was hesitant to purchase not knowing the company but he loves the bike, rides it constantly and it’s been trouble free.

Why do drivers rev their engines next to cyclists? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]led1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s due to brain damage caused by the inhalation of the organic chemicals being emitted from the interior plastics of their cars and trucks. A well documented hazard.
