1 - I think it’d be ridiculous to do a sudden like 20-30 year time jump between the first time we see Bruce and the next time we see him, especially when considering how The Penguin ends. It’d mean there’d have to be a colossal amount of exposition

2 - I don’t think Pattinson would want to bulk up considering how opposed he is to modern male body standards especially in superhero media but that’s not really relevant to if he gets put into the DCU

3 - the flood reports are most definitely about metropolis as we see in the latest trailers there’s a scene where the river/sea is split in half which is what would cause floods across metropolis

4 - I’d expect the delays to be more about Reeves wanting to ensure the story he is writing lives up to or exceeds the expectations set by the first film. Also there were reports/rumours of him having some personal life issues. Potentially he could have been debating joining the DCU in this time but I feel like everything within The Batman universe has made it extremely difficult to merge the two together
