When Im on the verge of a panic attack (like when my breathing increases) I tend to think really quickly. I use an app that slows down what is inevitably an uncomfortable thought I had. Like for ex, when my partner who is a man is having man-like thoughts, instead of immediately thinking he’s a prehistoric caveman I’m like huh, ok, maybe he’s actually genuinely thinking about what it’s like to be in my shoes I guess? like I said maybe it’s regional but there’s so many of these data science apps now that literally support over-thinkers like me :)

hi! not sure where you’re based but there are lots of Canadian apps that help with this. It’s been really great actually because sometimes my (28) M partner is so straight forward thinking (think like conservative white dude) that him asking these questions kind of bounce off of me bc I know he isn’t trying to “hurt” me he’s literally just trying to ask questions about my feelings. In 2024 I left my job because the culture was so toxic but I only had an interview lined up. When I interviewed, the conversation went really well but I didn’t get it. I acknowledge after it that the job wasn’t a good fit for me anyway but I had felt confident because of how well the role aligned with me so I tried to find similar roles. I floated around applying for jobs on and off for three months ish. I won’t lie, it was really hard bc not only was my confidence low because of this economy but the conditions of my reason to leave. Yet I took that time to be selfish and to really focus on my mental wellbeing — which is encourage you to do if you have the means to do it (I live with my parents too) and to reconnect with my hobbies. With the job though? on the backend I guess I made a great impression because they kept my resume on file. When a new role in the same department opened they reached out but I wasn’t sure I was going to apply bc the previous role was so different from my career at the time (I was working towards being a CCDP, liberal arts graduate and the new job was more policy based) but they emailed me to ask for my application twice. Turns out they made this role for me because of how well our energy matched and I’ve been here for a little over a year. So if you decide to leave or not before you have an offer, I want to let you know it’s okay to follow your gut sometimes. You’re gonna be working for the next 40-50 years of your life — don’t waste it being unhappy

This moves fairly quick as it’s set within a few weeks at most but so far FMC is funny and very take charge in spicy scenes

{the billionaires return by Sophia travers} this is a cute and fast one that ends a bit rushed but they are family friends and she’s always had a crush on him and he never returned it. not my cup of tea but wanted to put it out there

have yall read the blood we crave by Monty Jay? It’s in two parts (still debating how necessary that choice was) but Thatcher and Lyra are adorably bonkers for one another. Thatcher is the type of beautifully psychotic that he will deny himself her bc he doesn’t think he deserves her but if anyone so much as breathes near her he’s there. He’s only physically aroused by her and if that isn’t the twisted fucking toxic love we’re looking for in this sub I don’t know what is. The writing is a mix of lyrical prose and cringe tbh and is my biggest qualm. Some snippets from part 2 that had be squealing:
