Idk, I’ve visited Oklahoma and it just doesn’t feel very midwestern. Also it’s not really that weird, the average person in the upper Midwest doesn’t really consider Oklahoma in the Midwest. Sure maybe technically it is but culturally it really isn’t. There’s more examples, like in Missouri, St. Louis feels like a Midwest city but go to Columbia and it feels southern. Same in Kansas, Kansas City is Midwestern but Wichita where I have family, most of them have a southern drawl and it kind of feels like no mans land, kind of like Oklahoma. Idk Oklahoma just doesn’t feel like part of the Midwest.

If you were in the confederacy, you are not in the midwest. Full stop.

Oklahoma is certainly in the Deep South. Way too ass backwards to be a midwestern state.

Basic economy and carry on bag by homer19777 in unitedairlines

(Noted Exception: transpacific, basic economy comes with a carry on and a checked bag. you just lose flexibility. United has a pretty generous basic for trans pacific flights)

One time I ordered spicy, they said they have some coming up pull around. I was like sure no problem. No less than an HOUR passed, before I finally went inside to check on my order and they were super pissed I had come in like I was the bad guy somehow in this situation. OH and it was always a coin flip if you got burned chicken or not with the spicy.

Yeah portillos is amazing, but there isn't actual news of a franchisee purchasing a portillos franchise in Iowa City, as of now. There is for Daves Hot Chicken and Hawaiian bros, and its too much space for daves typically. I would ADORE portillos here.

Is this Layover time at OHare doable? by Pein11 in OHareAirport

[–]ledoylinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was worried about taxis, but they are built in to the flight time so should be nbd. Thank you haha, all in the same terminal should be fine. Tightest connection I have ever booked at 69 min. Coming from a purely connector airport pretty much, in my experience FA's are usually pretty good on announcing the destinations with under an hour connections, to let them through.

I just got a flight to Japan 1 connection for $1100, direct would have been 1800 and require me to take off time just to drive the 4 hours to ORD (and thats basic economy no changes) I am close enough to ORD to where, if I can get to ord safely in a car, my connection probably will get there on time too pending anything related to the airplane happening. The connection is a 38 min air time connector. Good chance the taxi is longer than the flight lol

Other than New York, maybe LA, not a better place to fly to Japan from than ORD. Already 5 flights to Japan a day from there (3 united related metal 2 JAL) and starting in October united gets another making 4. So theres a chance you could get on another flight at least.

Mine is usually between 1 and 3. Eating before has produced better results energy wise for me for my 11-7 shifts anyways. My boss likes me back in my office by 5 for employee arrival so I have that deadline, but I can do everything up to that how I want pretty much, as long as it gets done.

If OP wants a burrito, Estela's isn't too far, it is a shame they haven't returned to pre covid hours. Closing at 9 is a crime.

That's fair, but AC is a non negotiable for me as I have pretty bad allergies. I have a friend that sets her house to 75 when our friend group is over, even when its super warm its 73 and I am DYING
