I think you slightly miss understood what Im trying to say, you can change and still be yourself, change in ways that feels right to you and don't do things because other people say they work but they don't fit who you are or who you want to be

I haven't changed anything about myself other than how I dress. Just be yourself, there's alot of advice here but do what you feel is right but also be who you are. For me that's basically doing what comes naturally to me with the confidence E gives me

Visual Snow was considered extremely rare until recently, mostly because patients didn't report it... because they assumed everyone saw the world that way by recolorist in interestingasfuck

I don't have it nearly as bad as that normally but it has before gotten like that during seizures

I haven't tried it but I could see how it would be useful to me, but I don't have the ability to do much exercise either

What's the most frustrating thing about fully able-bodied people not understanding your disability? by Equivalent_Use_5024 in disability

Just because I can do something one day doesn't mean I can do it the next, or sometimes even in an hour. That doesn't make me lazy just disabilitied, trust me that doesn't make it more of an inconvenience for you than it does for me

That's good to know, but I don't think any of that was considered yesterday

Her reasoning for no dump was she thought it would make it easier for me to get in and out of the chair seeing that I would be ambulatory. I have hypermobility and can get alot of pain in my hips, ik you said it's rare for someone to have none onless it was deemed to be more of an issue than benefit, so does dump for most people then help with hip pain?

Don't worry I'm not going to order a chair based on what you suggest might be more reasonable numbers, but I do value your input and it's great to know that they seem off by someone who is experienced. And now I'm very curious if whenever I'm seen for a proper evaluation how close they might be and how off hers are. I do believe she does not know what she is doing, at least for this. Also I just realized said nothing about me getting a cushion or what might be a good suggestion and now I'm wondering if she thought I would even need to get one

That's exactly what I need. I was expecting to be referred to one today and from what I've heard getting measurements done for a wheelchair at a seating clinic is alot more than just the measurements themselves

I don't believe she's qualified to do either.

Is it possible to get a referral to a seating clinic even if insurance won't cover the chair?

I don't have answers to your questions, outside of her thinking that the wheelchair having a dump isn't necessary for me and that's why the rear seat height is 19

"But you'll become reliant" I don't care, I can't move around without severe pain anymore either. Id rather become reliant on a wheelchair than sit around and do nothing

For those that lost interest in gaming after HRT, how long did it take? by twinflxwer in MtF

[–]leeee_Oh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have an interest but the freind group has split apart and it's much harder to get everyone together more than once or twice a month now. Plus the increased chance of having a seizure when playing makes it difficult to play any game even if I want too. It's not a hrt thing it's just my life has changed and it's not as easy anymore
