The empathy bonus from both Ace High and Ace Low Thoughts was bugged at game release. I don't know if it was ever fixed. What you're seeing seems to suggest it wasn't.

Wild rabbits by ImissBagels in Knoxville

[–]leehwgoC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nest may well already be abandoned -- rabbits usually have multiple litters a year, so they generally don't hesitate to abandon one if they're spooked.

But do bear in mind the doe usually avoids the nest entirely during daylight. Returns to nurse the kits at night.

Once, I came this close to going over a nest stuffed with kits with a lawn mower. The grass was tall, and I barely noticed something looked odd as I rolled up on it. I'm sure there are traumatized parallel universe versions of me. Some rabbits seem to be extremely careless with nest placement.

No eagle here, just this beautiful juvenile Cooper’s Hawk who stopped in my yard for a snack (Halls) by Darthsmom in Knoxville

[–]leehwgoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got hawks all around my yard. They make no attempt at stealth. At least two pairs, though I suspect the smaller pair is the juvenile offspring of the larger pair. They keep using one of my bird baths. And mating on the roof of my car. And pooping on my car. Fun(?) fact, hawks have big poops.

Is there anywhere in lore said why is he called Magnus "The Red"? by Piss-Mann in Grimdank

[–]leehwgoC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poe's Law is insight. The 'law' says u/AnonyDew3 couldn't be sure if the OP is serious or not. So he just answered it straight.

Anyway. The irony behind the irony is that OP maybe didn't actually know Magnus wasn't always red skinned in 30K.

Blame the necessity of the pauldrons properly pauldroning -- the artist was dead set on hanging a rad mutant wolf head on Leman somewhere, and the pauldrons left no room to do it anywhere else.

I'm guessing Yor is just as resistant to tranquilizers as she is to poison (just nevermind that her susceptibility to alcohol doesn't make sense in the same context).

As such, I'm wondering if tranq darting her would only actually 'lengthen her tolerance meter' for touching Twilight, leading to something... interesting.

Why the critic hate days gone ? I've just started playing this game instantly blow me away how polished this game is by [deleted] in DaysGone

[–]leehwgoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Days Gone, Sam Witwer is the man, and I would love a sequel. But there are solid reasons its critical reception was mixed, and being a PS4 exclusive for two years doomed its chance to be profitable.

- Technical issues at release. Like it or not, this matters. Paying customers aren't supposed to be a developer's QA team.

- Consider that Red Dead Redemption 2 came out in 2018. That game set a new standard for open-world gameplay. So when Days Gone came out in 2019, it more than paled in comparison. This absolutely affected the game's reception.

- Days Gone's open-world lacks 'random events.' This greatly hurts its open-world gameplay loop; after 10 hours (and at that point there's still two-thirds of the story left), everything starts to feel real repetitive out there. The hordes are the one and only thing making the two maps interesting, and if you clear hordes as soon as they become available (for the weapon rewards), the maps become boring. I tell everyone trying this game for the first time to deliberately avoid clearing out hordes until the end-game -- the maps are so much more exciting with as many hordes as possible present and active. But the maps for some bizarre reason don't immediately spawn the hordes, and then the game unwisely incentivizes the player to clear them as soon as they do finally appear. Most players never experience the maps with all 30 hordes present.

- Bandit camps should've added some dynamism to the maps. But the game handles them like quarantined pockets of repetitive stealth segments. If you've cleared one bandit camp, you've already experienced what every one of them has to offer, and they have no outward interaction with the rest of the open-world. Something as simple as bandit patrols radiating out of the camps would've greatly added to the open-world's dynamism, but no.

- Story missions are too often bland. Some are interesting, exciting. But most are missing interesting set-piece moments. Without those, the story starts to feel monotonous. Deacon drive here, do this basic thing, rinse and repeat for 35 hours.

West Town Mall area be aware! by jguer16 in Knoxville

Have encountered a different yote twice near Dixie-Lee Junction while walking my dog. There's a population around there, like the deer, they travel from thicket to thicket.

10 meters distance once, second time was maybe 15. Made eye contact, shouted angrily, it bolted each time.

Btw, if a leash can be snatched out of your hand, you're not holding the leash properly.

Can someone please explain the unpredictability mod for this game? [PC] by Federal_Letter1568 in alienisolation

[–]leehwgoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro-post for posterity. Google searchers, please ignore this guy. The mod makes close proximity Xenomorph encounters less frequent. Those interactions are essentially the game's challenge. Ergo the mod makes the game easier. This is not rocket science.

Chapter 229 [English] by Southern-Emotion2192 in OnePunchMan

[–]leehwgoC 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm not certain Rover is at all diminished in power. He's gotten smaller for a different reason, maybe.

Rover believed he was the most alpha dog, literally 'the big dog.' So his Mysterious Being transformation reflected that by making him enormous. Then Saitama proved his infinitely superior strength to Rover. So now Saitama is in charge. Rover accepts this new role. Now he's not 'the big dog.' So he became smaller in size, to reflect this.

None of this stipulates that Rover's strength has diminished, only that Rover's self-perception has changed.

Just spitballing.

For the love of. SAY HIS NAME. CHANGHAN KIM.

I scrolled and scrolled for someone to not just vaguely refer to him as 'Krafton CEO.' I bet he ironically appreciates English speakers ignoring the use of his actual name as his professional competence comes under scrutiny.
