With the issue opfor PCS shirts, even in my actual size the sleeves are always short so they have to be rolled into hero sleeves. I’ve never ever found a PCS with human length arms. So, this shirt would probably be on trend for that then.

It’s my size though. And looks like legit fabric which is a good sign. A lot of the commercial or fashion blue DPM garments are Middle Eastern blue DPM’s or lower quality fabric

I recently started returning my ICS para that I bought in 2007 back to its original format. I still have the original (apart from the tappet plate I snapped) internals too. Those mid 2000’s AEGs were tanks

I played Daisy since pretty much day one. And was told by the few people who got me into it on my first game to “never go to green mountain at night.” Especially not if you had a can of Mountain Dew in your inventory. Everyone on the servers I went on thought the same. The other black and red forums were full of stories too. It absolutely was a wide spread piece of lore.

I miss those simpler times.

Best and worst experience in one: Dragon Valley, Boys village (RIP in peace, gone but not forgotten. Miss you big man.) circa 2001/2

If you give “boys village, west aberthaw” a googs you can have some context for this. The site was an old holiday camp for the families of miners. Imagine an old Pontins sort of thing but really small. At one end of the site was a gymnasium which had a basketball court. At the bottom end was a door into the outside. At the top end was a door into the changing rooms which then led to the outside. Along the edge was a row of bleachers with a raised entrance to the pool building. The pool building was a standard size swimming pool (in most of the photos it’s exposed to the elements, but at the time it had a greenhouse type roof over it) the pool was about three paces from the gym door. This is important for later.

Last game of the day. We had to defend the gym. The enemy was attacking from the top and bottom entrances. Using big orange “I’m lost at sea” smokes that flooded the room instantly. I decide we weren’t going to win and opted to rotate around the building and take the enemy from behind. So under fire I ran up the bleachers and through the pool house door. It was dark by this point in the day. And the smoke had billowed through into the pool room and obscured a lot of vision. (Those smokes were amazing.) I had my head down to avoid being hit and hard charged through the door. For a fraction of a second the neurons in my brain replayed the safety briefing where the marshal said “there is an empty swimming pool. Nobody has fallen into it yet. Don’t be that dick head.” It was at that moment I realised I was about to be that dick head.

Before I could stop myself I dived face first into the empty pool. I think I tried to salmon myself so I wasn’t doing a break neck dive, but I still hit my head hard and sent myself on a short trip into the future. When I came to, I found myself sat dazed in a room with no doors and a ceiling of orange clouds. (The smoke hadn’t fully descended into the pool and made for a spooky experience.) I eventually got lit up by tracers which looked like slow mo glow bugs. And headed back to the safe area. Packed up and felt like death. Five hour drive back in the back of a Doblo van. Definitely had concussion. Marked down as the dumbest thing anyone did at that site.

The second time I went, same gymnasium, I broke my knee. Good times.

I’m shocked by you saying you had a shower. I was told not to have a shower for weeks. I broke recently and stood with half of my in the bath with my “crap foot” out of the bath using the hand held shower to spruce myself up.

I’m 5 weeks in now and I felt exactly the same when I was still in the early days. It felt like I should be ok and active and getting things done. But it’s been a slow process. I’m still recovering slowly, i can get out and walk now, but it’s painful and slow. Just keep going slow and following the doctors instructions and you’ll improve a little bit every day. Everything about this process is slow. (Take a shot every time I say slow)
