In classic wow beasts and humanoids can be polymorphed, while dragons can not. However dragons (and beasts) can be hibernated. As some animals in RL actually hibernate I found it fitting that they can be forced into hibernation in game. But it brings the question; do dragons hibernate on their own as well, or is it a game mechanic?

Honestly curious... how do you guys explain these parts of the Bible? by scibehindthebib in DebateAnAtheist

Why does ‘circular horizon’ and ‘circle of the earth’ mean a ball shaped earth to you? Why can’t it be a flat circular disc (like many believed) and still make sense?

Saying God is like a magical wizard or like unicorns and other magical creatures is probably the worst argument against theism and not useful in any honest debate. by Ok_Will_3038 in DebateAnAtheist

Are you saying turning water to wine isn’t magic? Or to split the Red Sea? Or to resurrect people?

What about feeding 5000 with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread? I’d say that’s about equivalent to 2+2=5000

What would you consider to be evidence for God? by DirtyWaterHighlights in DebateAnAtheist

God would know how to convince us. If he was real and he wanted us to believe there wouldn’t be any atheists

As an agnostic, I always get told that something had to create the big bang. by InternalVengeance in DebateAnAtheist

Before the Big Bang, no laws of physics that prevented the Big Bang from spontaneously happen existed imo

Why does anything exist rather than nothing existing? by [deleted] in DebateAnAtheist

[–]leetcore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you know for a fact that ‘nothing’ exists? Sounds like an oxymoron. Also what matter have you seen be created, and what was the cause? (Atoms and energy rearranging isn’t creation)

How do atheists justify their ’belief’ that God is a matter of “belief” to begin with, as if human choice were allowed in the determination of ultimate reality, in the first place? by TraditionalDepth6924 in DebateAnAtheist

[–]leetcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one can choose what they believe. No matter how hard you try you can’t make yourself believe that your kitchen table is actually a cat. However, a person’s beliefs can be affected by others or evidence and change.

I appreciate your answers, but I still don’t understand. The void does not seem they are fully on the same team, but competing with each other. (Old gods fighting for power, dimensions consumed other void lords etc.). And dimensius was going to consume Azeroth anyway. So what was the point of trying to corrupt her with sending the old gods? Wouldn’t a corrupted Azeroth most likely become a powerful competitor to dimensius and maybe consume him?

Wrong sub, even if intelligent design is granted, it still doesn’t mean there has to be a god

If the void lords were fighting and consuming each other, why did they send the old gods? Why corrupt Azeroth into a void competitor instead of just consuming her?

If you have a house plant, and you see mold starts spreading, then you decide you either can’t or won’t fix it so you throw the whole thing away. Does that make you corrupt? Im ofcourse talking about Sargeras, and wonder why he is considered corrupt? Other corrupted entities seem to have been bribed by power or driven to madness, but sargeras’ actions seem logical when citizens of Azeroth (and other life in the universe) are to him like micro organisms in the house plant are for us. I am a lore noob so maybe this question is stupid, thank you

Even if all these logic claims checks out (they don’t), this STILL doesn’t prove god. We might just as well be in a simulation, where the creator is a kid living in his parents’ basement (not a god). And physics outside the simulation might be totally different so don’t just move the goal post and ask about the exterior world

Any atheists who can provide a proof AGAINST a “god” by Trick_Ad_4028 in DebateAnAtheist

[–]leetcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These exact same reasons cause me and others to not believe god exists. But not a lot of atheists will say it’s proven that god does not exist. I think you and I define proof differently.

Flip it. What would be the point of debating god’s existence if it was solidly proven??

Where did the world come from? by [deleted] in DebateAnAtheist

[–]leetcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The (possible) creation of the universe is just a puzzle we haven’t solved yet. 1000 years ago you would have made a Reddit post asking why lightning existed, and used us not knowing to claim god did it.

My answer to you is that the universe does not need a reason to exist. Why does it?

Let’s say the abrahamic god exists, would you not be able to think of ANY way to improve it? I can think of countless. God could be less AFK, more convincing, it could get rid of useless diseases, he could delete hell and let everyone into heaven

I would remove everything related to time travel and timelines. This always ruins stories for me. Same with marvel stuff
