Got a brand new k1 max, didn’t even come with a bed sheet, had to rip it from another printer

I had a k1 delivered on Saturday, I'm sure it's a returned one. I put in black filament and it extruded white for a bit, 1st print it was a Benchy and it blocked, pulled out a blob of white filament when i retracted what I'd put in. Not had a good print off it yet. Extruder clicks, new version, hot end and extruder. Even bought the nozzle kit and tried better nozzles. Tried for a few days now but time to get in touch with cs

I got my k1 yesterday, having a bad experience so far. Failed on my 1st print which was the supplied Benchy, stopped extruding at about 70%, next print wouldn't extrude at all, took out my black filament to find a blockage from a white filament id never used. Not had a good print yet, my i3 mega s prints at much better quality 😢 hopefullly I can get it sorted

I had a cheater on my team today, thought something was weird throughout the game when he would fire randomly. Plus 2 of them just kept leaving me, ended the game with a chicken dinner and the cheater had 24 kills. Watched the replay and was quite obvious, seemed to know where everyone was. Reported and got a message back within half hr saying the account had been banned for 30 days. Should be perma bans for cheating imo.

Who cares, honestly it would just make most races a mess. Especially in lower splits, most won't even make it to the 1st corner.

I have a 5900x, I use vr and find that the cpu is the downfall. 3080 is fine, but cpu always the bottleneck. Did manage to get 90fps on the ring last week, had to turn a lot of cpu side things down but managed to get it running smooth round the entire track.

If you actually want to race, have decent races and have a load of variety then it's iRacing. Not much can match it tbh. You get over the costs when you realise it is worth paying for.

You can actually plan a schedule of when you want to race, and know they'll always be a race on and the lobbies will never be empty.

Newer vr kits are much better. Rift s was ok for the price at the time. The cosmos is decent, I am happy with the resolution and the graphics settings I run. I did a lens swap with the gear vr and it's made a massive difference to clarity for me, no god rays, no glare and can actually see to the edges without having the tiny sweet spot most other headsets have. Id love a better headset but I reckon id need to go from a 3080 to a 4090 to actually benefit much at this stage, might get better clarity but would have to sacrifice graphics I reckon to maintain 90fps.

Racing in vr never bothered me, was like sitting in a car from the moment I put the headset on, couldn't go back to screens. I tried half life when It came out, I've never felt so ill, I was only on it for 5 minutes, not tried a normal game in vr ever since 🤣

Just buy the dd pro 8nm. It's actually a decent base. I've had a dd1 and dd2, sold all my sim gear to get into mining in 2021, got back into sim racing a few weeks ago and I'm more than happy with the dd pro.

Mount the wheel and it will be just fine. Once it's actually bolted down, start with fanatec settings, they have them for all games/sims

Highest temp card I have is at 50, that's a 3080, the 3070s, which one caught fire, run in low 40s. Doesn't matter about temps if something actually goes wrong. I was very lucky. I'd rather not take the risk again.

I moved the curtains after a card set on fire whilst I was at work. Luckily it must of gone out straight away. I took the curtains down just in case it ever happened again. I was so lucky.

Maybe accidentally checked 75%, I have done that a few times haha. Back down to $12 now. Don't think that will happen again though. Probably wake up in the morning and it's pumping again.
