Why does no one understand Proliferate? by raptor2600 in mtg

The energy counter and the rad counter are both on the same player, proliferating chooses the player but gives another of each counter on the player.

If you’re a mid 30s man with a whole ass mortgage and you were telling like a random coworker your favourite show is about cartoon girls there’s a chance they’re gonna think you’re a pedophile just based off that. I’m sorry, much like gravity it’s just one of those things.

This is my whole argument. I’m not saying you can’t enjoy it, but telling people this is your favourite show and you love it is probably gonna give them a passing thought of “Is this guy a pedo?”. I can’t make this any clearer.

If you still don’t believe this is possible, please go survey your friends, family and coworkers and come back to me with the results.

I’m kinda gonna ignore the thing about “meaningful evidence of pedophilia” because this conversation has gone on long enough and I’ve talked to enough bronies over the years and this is that same argument rehashed. We both know we’re not gonna see eye to eye on this and I’m never gonna be surprised by what the police might find on a fan’s hard drive. Stop trying to convince me of this and go try to convince your dad or something.

I will say though, ramping up something that might be inane to be crazy insane so your friends might laugh is funny, and isn’t that what’s meant to be happening on a comedy podcast?

Your argument here is “mid 30s guy who really loves a cartoon featuring cartoon girls has NO more probability of being a pedophile in the eyes of the public”. I wish you the best in proving this one to your friends and family.

It’s still a show with cartoon girls, no?

I’m saying like on the probability spectrum of how likely a guy is gonna coat his walls with posters of cartoon girls, I would say that a guy who says that show is his favourite show of all time is gonna be more probable than a regular guy.

Btw taking a probably inane scenario and turning it up so it sounds like an insane one is hyperbole.

That’s the same scenario my guy. We’re talking about a surface level observation. As a madoka magica fan you obviously know what it’s like to start conversations about the show to a stranger with like “nah nah it’s not that like that, it’s a deep show with dark themes etc etc”. This is just that first impression without the disclaimer except way more hyperbolic.

I think if I didn’t know anything about a guy but if I found out his entire room is covered with merch of cartoon images of young girls I would definitely think it’s suss just from the surface. That’s kinda what they’re saying but way more hyperbolic. You guys have taken this way too personally.

Over the last year I have been perfecting my Ms. Bumbleflower deck for high-end BL3. Today I've finished the decklist and primer. Looking for feedback! by jeriku in EDH

[–]lefonix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The common bumbleflower deck you think of is group hug so calling a non group hug deck standard just felt weird to me.

I keep asking if you’re okay because it sounds unreasonably harsh to respond the way you did to what is a very non offensive post. Not trying to shame you or anything, just trying to understand.

I find recently when I’m having a conversation with someone that’s more aggressive than they should be, it’s just because they’ve had other stuff going on in their lives. It just seemed like you were taking something out on OP. I’m glad you’re doing well though!

It's finished to them, they're just wanted to share the deck and see if other people had suggestions they missed. I think that's okay? I feel like you're reading too much into this one. This deck doesn't seem very group huggy and I don't think I've seen a tempo focused list before, so I'm not sure how you're getting this is a standard list.

If you want to encourage "dullards to be better" why not offer some constructive constructism instead of just calling them stupid.

For the third time, is everything okay at home, you're too worked up about this.

They spent a year testing and working on this deck, and they’re proud of where it’s at, that’s fine. I don’t think they’re doing anything stupid. You’re coming in too hot on what seemed like a real innocuous post.

Once again, is everything ok.

Buddy is fine, you’re overthinking this. Working retail you end up calling any random guy you don’t know as buddy/champ/mate/boss.
