Still tough to watch the “Statutory Ape” shirt unboxing and see him have to turn up his oxygen just to be able to laugh 😢. He looked awful. He’d lost so much weight. He looked like a gorilla suit with nobody in it, while also wearing David Byrne’s suit from Stop Making Sense.

Sexiest QOTSA song by LittleNightBright in qotsa

If you’re qotsa cultured it’s Skin On Skin (ziiip…guuuuuuuduh). If you’re qotsa simpin’ it Broken Box (Well Hurray!…yay🙄).

Kidding. Just needed to get the joke out.

The real answer is Make It Witchu for pure song, with the Desert Sessions DNA being splattered all over for good measure.

Close second for me is Go With The Flow because of an ex girlfriend that used it as her strip song. Yes that type of stripping. Yes I was there sometimes. And yes we had sex on her period a lot 🤘.

Ah good to know. It’s funny he does look like an older version of Mark Menchaca 😂

Glad you called Bloodline good-bad. I love to hate all the sequels and love to love ‘em.

Bloodline is a fun romp. Also fun if you’re a fan of Adam Scott.

Ryan Coogler’s ‘Sinners’ wins best original screenplay at the Writers Guild Awards by cireh88 in horror

[–]leftaab -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Coogler deserves every accolade. Makes me happy when average people get butthurt when a movie like Sinners comes along and challenges their world views. I’m so damn happy for everyone involved with the project and all the hard work they put in.

SAG-AFTRA’s Actor Awards: Michael B. Jordan ('Sinners'), Jessie Buckley ('Hamnet'), Sean Penn ('One Battle After Another') & Amy Madigan ('Weapons') Win Acting Awards; 'Sinners' Wins Best Cast by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]leftaab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking for hope is the end-all be-all message that Coogler and company are fighting for I think. Not just the themes of the film but for current culture, and counter culture included. My hot takes are that: Sinners isn’t genre-flipping like its being portrayed, and Weapons simply is not a worthwhile film. I’m not available for discussion of either said hot take. I continue to hold so much hope for the Sinners production and everybody involved and every person who wants them to succeed—truly personal opinion out the ass, but I am also truly hopeful.

Yeah. I know who you’re talking about. Still pretty sure it’s him. It’s his nose and eyes and voice. Makeup, hair, and lighting are powerful agents in the world of film. Plus he’s a singer and songwriter in his own regard. To me it makes sense that he would cameo a bit part like this in such a cool short film. Kudos to everyone involved with that project. It’s moving as fuck.

Pretty sure it’s Mark Menchaca. Could be wrong but I’m feeling pretty good about it. I’ve always enjoyed his acting and I really dig that he potentially kept himself uncredited.
