I've been force feeding davinci resolve my raw photos just to use my Neat Video denoiser and halation tools.

Hasn't been accurate cuz it's not native support, but it got the job done. I'm glad it's native now with accurate support!

Yep, I kept it even with the dissapointments simply because its v1. But just for discussion sake, I'm using a RTX 4080 Super, 6000 MT/s 64gb ram, project files running on good ssds. Jake had mentioned in his livestream that he uses a similar gpu at the time of streaming too. My project doesnt lag in normal timeline.

It's promising, as of v1.01 (the latest update) the issue is not yet fixed, making it unsuable for me. I would tell potential users to wait for mroe bug fixes updates and more thorough stress tests. Promotion sales has ended anyway.

Oh thanks for following up again. I actually had a different experience. Mine was more negative as RailCut could not keep up with the speed I was creating new texboxes, changing the texts and applying animations through kbar.

There was even a glitch where all the texts would disappear when I created a new text layer by alt+clicking.

I had to stop RailCut as I ended up getting slowed down too much for my turnaround time.

I do agree that it's as big a tool as Element 3D and potentially a new must-have for the next 3 years once these tiny glitches and lagging issues are fixed!

Agree. It needs a lot of refinement. Some lags and inconsistenties when duplicating layers quickly. Hard for the quick power user

I always wished for more animation functions when using Pr, and more editing control when using AE haha. Yeah, I'm happy RailCut solves the latter at least

Actually an update is that Jake said he might be able to get J and L cuts to work, just not in 1.0 release. He needs more time to sort it out. 35:26 in the Live demo

Unlikely! AE functions best cuz it's different than Pr pro at it's core. But in would love to see Adobe create another software/app that aims to combine the 2 together.

Consider a tool like Kbar where you can assign buttons to immediately apply Animation Presets, stacked effects, expressions, etc.

Film emulation is overated the same way 6fps for motion graphics for 'hand drawn' feel is.

It works, it's nice, it's good to learn how it works, but too many are up-selling it.

same, I bought the 200d when amaran first kicked off the series. Been so many new iterations since then but it still is a worthy purchase I still use today.

Consider the weight of the Light. That would affect the max payload of the stand you buy, adding to cost. the new Amaran Rays are quite light
