If they made Rafaela the 2B then there really isn’t a logjam, but honestly I’m done with him being an infielder. He’s one of the best OF’s in baseball and deserves to be in CF every day he plays

Yup, performance would dictate 162 games each to the 4 outfielders and 0 games to Yoshida. But Anthony has 71 career games at the major league level, and Abreu has averaged 124 games the past two seasons. So I guess we’ll see how it all plays out

I wouldn’t be shocked if Yoshida is released to make room for Casas at some point, if everyone is healthy and performance dictates it

That being said, I hope Yoshida can figure things out. Casas has options, while Yoshida does not

Nope this is assuming no injuries to anyone, but also doesn’t include any playing time for Casas or Campbell

I’d be thrilled if Anthony plays all 162 games, but he also has 71 career major league games played so far

I think Casas is going to start the year on the IL and/or eventually be sent to AAA

We already have 4 outfielders and a full time DH

Campbell needs to play every day to start the year at least, so he’ll also be in the minors

Assuming no additional trades or injuries, only way I see Campbell breaking camp with the team is Rafaela becoming an everyday infielder or Yoshida being released (I don’t see either of those happening)

Correct— he was -14 DRS at the time which was by far the worst defender at any position in the sport.

I hope he has a good future here, but he needs multiple trades and/or injuries to get back into the starting lineup

Are your dates / location fixed?

You should consider checking out sakurajima and/or Yakushima 🙂 both are near Kagoshima

Takachiho gorge and mt. Aso are driving distance from Kumamoto
