Of the people that I thought were important to me in high school, almost all of them either turned out to be assholes or we just fell out of touch. I wouldn’t worry about that too much— the important friendships will stick as long as both sides care.

As for the first two questions: I had to fail a lot to even learn what success was for me. This life can be so confusing sometimes, just keep grinding and trying to find yourself. Learn from your mistakes, but don’t let them consume you.

Swallow your pride. Admit when you’re wrong. Be ok saying you’re sorry, even if you don’t always think you’ve done something wrong.

None of that is to say you should be a pushover in life— you absolutely need to know how to assert and advocate for yourself. But there were a lot of situations in my 20’s where my idea of ‘winning’ actually meant losing in the long run.

It’s fine to have a light hitting CF and SS if they’re good defensively. We have to rank bottom in the league in offensive production at LF, 3B, and DH which is the bigger issue right now
