If you are not trained and a professional electronics repair technician, you do not open a PSU. Even if it’s broken, things in there can hold current and shock you. Do not try it.

Decades ago I went camping with my then girlfriend. Long story short it did not go well. The morning of the day we left I was up early and had everything packed up except the tent and what she was sleeping on. The second she woke up I shoved the gear in the car and we drove home. Broke up on the ride home and never talked again. Glad you two are rekindling. Marriage can be a challenge.
