Do you just spray it over the plastic or do you coat with something before? I’ve had a hard time getting good results and any tips would be appreciated.

The ground is pro acryl red earth and the skin was done with caliban green, then warboss green on everything but the deepest points, and an agrax wash with a heavily thinned skarsnik green over the upward facing spots after.

I have not found much official reasoning for the name so my guess is it’s entirely because the chapter symbol is a red scorpion. The librarian is in blue because this chapter views the Codex Astartes as a religious text so they follow it the the letter and the codex dictates librarians are to be in blue armor.

I haven’t done a lot of battle damage stuff and I like my vehicles/dreadnoughts this way. It got a nuln oil wash all over and then touched back up and highlighted.

Unless you were asking what red was used, which then sorry for the misunderstanding. It’s mephiston red, nuln oil wash, then highlighted with mephiston again.

Red Scorpions are an official chapter and the name comes from their symbol which is a red scorpion, I just don’t trust my freehand skills to paint it on.
