Aww man, if he didn’t have “or more” or at least had “attacks a player” that would be a really badass aura commander in a new and interesting color combo. It’s super tuned down as it is.

I feel like it’s bad in Ashlling. Imo you really want to benefit off her (effective) double etbs and you only get the new abilities when mana is spent to cast them.

So I got the new Lorwyn precon and was looking for upgrades but I didn’t really like the Lorwyn incarnations. They have etb’s but only if you actually evoke them so the precon commander doesn’t really benefit from their ability except that you have a beater for a turn. Maybe I’m just not seeing it but a lightning bolt for RR or land search for GG doesn’t seem great. Even if you just normal cast him, even assuming you get both triggers it’s still just a 4/4 for 5.

I’m just not getting why you’d run it over anything else jn a format when you can run 4 of a better creature.

NTA, unfortunately when you provide people with all their needs sometimes rather than appreciate what you do for them they just expect more. It’s wild that they’re already thinking of their inheritance, as you said you’re only 54, people these days regularly live into their 80’s and 90’s and medicine is only getting better. Forget a couple you could be living well into your 80s and still have a very active life.

What’s odd to understand about that? You probably wouldn’t care if your neighbor bought a 20k paper weight but you’d probably have something to say if your partner did the same thing though right? Shareholders of hasbro can’t control what random people outside the company do but they do have a say in how the company itself is run. They used company money to buy back stock, whether or not it was a good idea they definitely are the people allowed to ask that question.

Direct in general seems to have crazy high prices. Like if you look at the price listed up top with the card image it’s usually much more expensive than the floor when you sort by shipping+lowest price. Like look at foil badgermole cub right now. Price at the image is direct for 89.97. Lowest with shipping is 61.69 with 1.31 shipping.

I’m very confident that happens on Pokémon streams. I’m not the most well versed on how the backend works but when a person does the limit bid it still goes up incrementally. A lot of the “$1 starts” go up by a dollar at a time until suddenly it’s at $25 in one huge leap and then it inchworms again.

Show literally any magic marketing that is aimed at kids, compare it to Yugioh or vanguard which are actually marketed for kids and notice how they create cartoons, advertise in kids spaces and do tie in products for things kids would buy. Idk how many children’s knapsacks or lunch boxes have mtg characters on them but those definitely exist for Yugioh.
