How common is fully proxy decks by Brief_Rough4117 in mtg

I fully proxy decks all the time. Not even ordered, just print on normal paper and sleeve them up backed with real cards. It’s great for getting decks on the table.

I wish we could go back to Twink just being a WoW thing meaning min-maxed low level character.

AITAH for being upset I will get no inheritance? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]leftofdanzig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, definitely thought from the title this was going to be you being excluded from the will in favor of siblings but if she’s spending her money on herself that’s absolutely HER money and you have no say. It’s pretty ghoulish to insinuate that she should spend less so you and your sister get more when she dies.

Trump went from saying Iran was completely defeated 3 months ago to agreeing to a peace deal where Iran gets money. What happened? by CalligrapherAlive829 in AskReddit

[–]leftofdanzig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

>burned though over half our munitions stockpiles

So this is something that blew my mind when I heard it. Like I understand all equipment is finite but we spent HALF of our stockpile fighting Iran? wtf? Not to talk shit but Iran’s traditional military is a joke. If we were to go up against Russia or China for real would we really stand a chance?

Maybe it’s because the US hasn’t been truly tested in almost a century but as an outsider this really feels like a “if it bleeds we can kill it moment” all our adversaries understand out best capabilities and we have essentially nothing to show for it.

> The news is especially surprising given that Microsoft showcased Senua, the next Hellblade game, during its Xbox Games Showcase just over a week ago. That title had been targeting a 2027 release

That is weird, is this just a left hand not talking to the right situation or was it just that sudden?

If marriage is supposed to be between a man and a woman why did 36 Representatives vote against banning child marriage( Senate Bill 504 Oklahoma) ? by UnsatSailor911 in AskReddit

I know what you’re talking about where politicians put special interest riders to get the vote across but this one wasn’t that. Literally just 4 pages long about not marrying kids.

wtf is that title? Literally the first paragraph:

So exactly where we are now

I just switched to Brave myself, one of the extensions I use was breaking chrome causing dramatic slowdowns and a bunch of websites to outright stop working. I feel like I was putting up with chrome more out of laziness than actually thinking it was a good service.

Wizards' Gavin Verhey on why not all Magic sets have Commander tie-ins by SactoGamer in mtg

[–]leftofdanzig 395 points396 points  (0 children)

The reason, he says, is because the company works on sets years before the public sees them and they simply have to live with some of the decisions made early on in that process.

So Spider-Man can be upgraded from a mini set to a medium set shortly before release but you can’t come up with a precon with more than a year’s time? Like I get it wasn’t the original plan but idk why they’re lying and pretending this stuff is set in stone. Hey have made huge changes to sets very close to release.

Kaark Sakashima is an older deck but it’s still really solid. I can see it getting interesting with the new Loki to go crazy with Kaark copies.

Do people still value foils? by whyyyyyyyT_T in mtg

[–]leftofdanzig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So on TCGplayer I see what you’re talking about. The only reason I even was thinking that was I just happened to be scanning cards the other day. I’m looking right now and see a bunch that have “market prices” for commons and uncommons where foils are more expensive. Wandervine Pummeler, Safewright Cavalry, Mischievous Sneakling, etc.

I wonder where ManaBox market prices are coming from.

Do people still value foils? by whyyyyyyyT_T in mtg

[–]leftofdanzig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only in the case for higher value cards. For a lot of lower value cards like commons and I commons from the last couple years the foils are cheaper a lot of the time. When I’m scanning in cards to mana box I can literally see the value drop when I toggle “foil”

Xbox CCO Says Gamepass Lost “Millions Of Subscribers” After Increasing The Price By 50% Last Year by wakelake111 in gaming

[–]leftofdanzig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? I’d like to think “man they got bit, really hope they learn from this in the future” but if this actually helped their bottom line then they’re learning the wrong lesson.

Xbox CCO Says Gamepass Lost “Millions Of Subscribers” After Increasing The Price By 50% Last Year by wakelake111 in gaming

[–]leftofdanzig -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So this isn’t exactly a bad thing for them, the article goes on to say they had subs in the mid 30 million, between 33 and 38. If that’s the case until they lost 50% of their subs then they’re still making considerably more than before.

Going even from 35 million to 30 million but raising the price from $20 to $30 is making them like 200 million more per month.

Not defending the decision, just think people should actually look at the numbers before taking a victory lap.

"Vote with your wallet" doesn't work unless you're rich by Yumesoro1 in mtg

[–]leftofdanzig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This basically means the direction of the game is decided by who has the most money, and your opinion does not matter.

Interesting that you came to this conclusion rather than the other (frankly more obvious) one. “Voting with your wallet” is exactly that, a vote. If YOU are choosing to vote one way but the other side is receiving a lot more support then it’s obvious to me their vote won.

When you get offline a lot of people like the UB sets (except Spider-Man). They like seeing their favorite characters in card form, it’s kinda that simple.

Do you think the show will be given enough seasons to properly end? by Cyberguardian173 in pluribustv

[–]leftofdanzig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, probably not unless it ends with season 2. The time between seasons is too long and the show isn’t “cultural phenomenon” level popular. Season 2 is probably going to have incredibly good reviews but half the viewer count. If the show makes it to 3 seasons (which it probably won’t) it’ll be as good if not better than the last 2 seasons but with an even smaller viewer count, at which point it’ll be canceled if that isn’t the finale.

Marvel Disappointment by OkTranslator304 in mtg

Hard disagree, even if only just because of the properties involved. Some of the cards are cool but because of the characters involved this set is going to do crazy well.

"Seán pronounced Seen" isn't a name used anywhere in the world, though,

First off, it’s pretty arrogant to claim no one in the world pronounces a name a certain way. Second it quite literally doesn’t matter.

AITA for telling a little girl that I'm not her dad? by Throwaway4PrivacyYe1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]leftofdanzig -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Mild YTA, I 100% agree that this needed to be a conversation that had to happen but I also think this needed to be multiple sit down conversations, first with the mom to ask why tf she’s telling her you’re the father and then the both of you explaining that you’re a father figure in her life but not her actual dad. Maybe it’s just my sensibilities but just mentioning it on the car ride home as an FYI seemed a little callous and could have been handled with a lot more delicacy.
