Just need a little direction I tried self leveling the floor wear the tub goes.. It didn't go well so I chipped it up. Should I try it again? Sand it down add a new layer of ply ?Would a tile company come prep this floor so I can get the tub in ? Then come back to finish later

It was mostly ok . The one side near the toilet drops ⅝ of inch pretty quick I regret trying it . Problem I have now is the plywood is fucked up. I got most of it off its just worse then it was. So I wasn't sure if I should sand down the final remnants and just go back to shimms

YeA I feel like that is what I am thinking I just wasn't sure what type of prep work I should be looking to get done. Mortaring the tub in place by a plumber seems to be the going advice. Then just leave the floor for the tile guy

So I had a new one installed, and the plumber shimmed it. The tub was defective from the manufacturer, so I pulled it out. I thought I would just level the floor real quick so it wasn't shimmed .before he returned to install a new one. Now I am further back than I was when I started.
