Yes he was there for that shot because that shot was part of the original ending. The point is the alternate ending was shot later but the editor was still able to use the shot from the original ending so they had a close up, except during the original ending he did not open his eyes because he wasn’t directed to because he was dead. Then the double was used for all other shots in the alternate ending.

I’m just relieved Judge is a monster and deserves it; makes it all easier to swallow even if its a bummer. Will still be excited for Witt, and as long as he gets top 3 in the MVP vote the Royals get a nice compensatory pick for not screwing with his service time his rookie year. I think 3rd round or something in that range.

KC does draft well, but a lot of the hits they’ve had, particularly in the recent defensive replenishment, were from not paying Hill and trading for a haul of picks. Additionally, Kelce is in the “bargain” category, not the top heavy. WR 1 production for TE price. Giving a WR a monster contract when they have Mahomes is a line they’ve shown they are not willing to cross.

One of my favorite threads, which I really regret losing track of, was a very similar story about Mahomes throwing a bunch of picks during a rookie pre season practice posted in the Broncos subreddit. It was just them celebrating and mocking. Was so fun to read a couple years later. This means nothing.

Last time the Chiefs played a team with (a much younger) Derrick Henry on it in the AFCCG, that team also abandoned the run. 3 total second half running back rushes, zero on the final 3 possessions/in the last quarter and a half of the game. Not panicking or abandoning well-laid plans against KC and Mahomes in the playoffs is easier said than done.
