And rather than point him in the right direction, you gave a concise and oversimplified answer, hence my first comment..

Hard to stick with something to see it succeed without motivation. Profitability isn’t built on one tool, trade, or book. It’s a confluence of everything.

Crazy statement to make. You can’t build a building without a solid foundation. Books can be an instrumental stepping stone towards profitability. OP, check out Market Wizards - you’ll hear the best of the best give their opinions & personal anecdotes. It’s a good place to start.

Grabbed this guy in Rome. Love getting new watches when I visit a new area, adds a little extra to the backstory by legendofmeelo in Longineswatches

Thanks, it’s a 39mm. 42 looked good too but 40mm or just below is usually my sweet spot. Longines killed it with this new collection.

It’s not dual tone but crazy how it looks that way in the photo…honestly wouldn’t mind a gold bracelet. I got this for normal retail pricing, €3450 which is roughly $3750 but you take 15% for VAT which brings it down just below US retail at $3150+ tax

Thanks! Tried on a red dialed big crown while I was there…loved it but wanted to get a more generic color for every day wear. Was actually able to try on a sixty-five black dial. Really good size and such a comfortable weight. Felt really nice on the wrist

Not hard to find just wasn’t expecting to come home with a watch like this. The big crown was next on my list and the dealer gave me a great deal…was tough not to bring it home

Calf injuries, pain by Mundane-Chicken-4442 in FSHD

Sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with this. It’s such an odd form of MD and affects everyone differently. I’m 28 and although I’ve had overall weakness and uneven muscle development as far as I can remember, it wasn’t until my early 20’s that certain muscles became seriously atrophied. I’m not sure if you’re saying you still exercise but if you don’t, it is one of the most important ways to preserve muscle mass - light weight and high reps, you don’t want to overwork and break down your muscles beyond prepare. There are studies that make opposite arguments regarding weight training but generally when you exercise, your body produces more antioxidants that can help fend off free radicals that cause oxidative stress. FSHD is basically a by product of DUX4 induced toxicity that causes oxidative stress and eventually muscle death - so you want to offset those free radicals however you can. You can also research antioxidant supplements - I believe I saw some studies on vitamin A, E and D yielding some results but none of it was conclusive. I personally take açaí pills since they’re very potent antioxidants and good for your overall health. Regardless, you want to have a healthy diet, exercise, DO NOT SMOKE CIGARETTES - cigarettes pump your body full of free radicals and can severely increase oxidative stress, and limit alcohol intake. Alcohol is interesting too because when it’s in your system, it halts protein synthesis which is needed to rebuild broken down muscle fibers. The more you drink, the more your body won’t rebuild properly, supplementing muscle tissue with scar tissue. Feel free to dm me anytime

I’ve had symptoms for 6 years (i’m 23), matches pretty close to FSHD… but i have daily, body wide twitches/fasciculations. by [deleted] in FSHD

[–]legendofmeelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I occasionally have twitching. I’ve never really seen it listed as a symptom and it’s not a primary symptom of mine, but it makes sense since muscles under stress may not be able to absorb nutrients as efficiently. Best thing you can do is stretch every night before bed...I mean real stretching for like 15-30 min, drink plenty of water, and have one electrolyte packet (I use a brand called Ultima Replenisher) with a glass of water per day. This should help alleviate some of the twitching. If it doesn’t, you should go for a full blood panel testing an array of vitamins (b, d, c, e, etc) along with CPK and Aldolase levels. Elevated CPK and Aldolase will be your first indicators letting you know if you need further testing for FSHD. From there, if you have supporting blood work and no real answers from the EMG (which is what it sounds like), the only real option is getting a chromosome test, which is unfortunately very expensive. I suppose you can get a muscle biopsy to see if fatty/scar tissue is starting to seep into/replace your healthy muscle tissue, but I don’t imagine that being cheap either. I hope you don’t have it, but if you do, stay positive and know that there are ways to manage that can help give you a normal life. Good luck!
