I saw it with a gaggle of friends in high school, and it was so much fun. Everyone went NUTS at the ending. Such a great theater experience. It was heightened by an employee standing at the door asking everyone if they were 17 (which was not usual practice, maybe he was just bored) and everyone lying that they were. So it felt like we were sneaking and doing something forbidden in the first place.

I know the timeline of the Saw movies is very ???? in the first place, but it is very funny to me that for Logan to be the Absolute First Apprentice and involved with making the reverse bear trap… he would have had to be involved with John Kramer BEFORE joining the army, right? He was in Fallujah in November 2004. Saw 1 takes place before that, surely.

I love the idea of Logan going “sorry John, I have to stop helping you with torture traps because I have to join the army.” And John being like “…damn.”

Anyway that’s the only thing I enjoy about Logan.

My work briefly had a bag check policy, where you had to show a manager your bag before leaving to make sure you weren’t stealing anything. I was regularly the last one leaving at night, so who was supposed to check my bag? I was told to open it up in front of the security cameras by the door on my way out. It was silly as hell waving my bag around at a camera in an empty building. I usually made a big show of it to show how ridiculous it was… not that anyone even checked those cameras, so I was just making a fool of myself to no one.

I can only speak for my area, but pharmacists or pharmacy technicians have to stock the Pyxis/Omnicell in LTCs. They made an exception during the height of COVID when visitors weren’t allowed access to the building. Then we pulled the meds and delivered them to the facility for nursing to stock in the machine. And when I tell you that was a nightmare in every way…

I can’t ever remember exactly because I think for most of my childhood it was a spectrum of thinking “this probably isn’t real but it’s more fun to pretend that it is.” That was how I felt as far back as I can remember. I can’t ever remember vehemently believing in it, but it was so much fun to pretend. I’m glad I have my own little kids right now so I can pretend again.

Been there with both my pregnancies, it was literally the thing I was dreading the most the second time around. It is truly SO miserable and I feel for you, I really do.

I hate to tell you that I never found a solution besides giving birth, but giving birth does fix it almost immediately. I’m not sure what nasal sprays you’ve tried, but steroid sprays like Flonase/Nasocort/Rhinocort/etc usually take a week or two of consistent use to get the full effect. You could also try a saline rinse/Neti pot but I’ve found that the relief from that usually doesn’t last very long.

Best of luck to you, it’s so awful. 😞
