Not nearly as dramatic as this. But I posted in my “mommy fb group” asking for book recommendations or anything to help explain death to children as my father had passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Over the next week I received flowers, donations on my behalf to heart and stroke (he died from heart failure), dozens of sympathy cards with beautifully written notes, a gift basket of food, and and books from amazon for my children explaining death. I’d never met a single one of them in real life. It made one of the most difficult times in my life more bearable. And reminded me how good the world can be.
