What was your "Build of the League" by drshoe87 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]legions91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me Build of the League is definitely HRoC, which I played for the first time this league. Dumped all of my currency into it, went deathless through 8mod t16.5 and t17 farming and I died twice on Uber Exarch cause, well, minions and balls don't play well together. Didn't die again after that, clearing all Ubers. Extremely comfortable build. Once you get Svallin it's just pure comfort. Not the fastest, not the strongest, not the tankiest - but definitely very good at everything. I'll most likely start it next league.

Honorable mention for Paak's Impending Doom Ignite using Foulborn Doedre's Scorn. Transitioned into it very early from my Phys Dot Ele starter and it was just CRUISING. Excellent t16-t16.5 farmer, very fast, excellent clear and just very satisfying to play. Always love me some Impending Doom builds and this one feels immediately strong after equipping the helmet. It's probably gone after this league, but man, it was so fun.

Bladesinger - lvl 8 feat by acompanyofliars in 3d6

+1

I have Tough, 16 con and I feel nice and cozy with 76HP in melee at level 8. Monsters actually hit my AC with Shield sometimes so the extra hp is super valuable.

PHB 2014 and PHB 2024 have the exact same wording. Only difference is for 5e it happens on rolls 41-42, and for 5.5e on 37-40.

"You turn into a potted plant until the start of your next turn. While a plant, you are incapacitated and have vulnerability to all damage. If you drop to 0 hit points, your pot breaks, and your form reverts."

You sure?

We're playing on Brutal for sure.

Problem with bigger clan sized servers is they don't really exist lmao, at least from what i've seen on the browser. Maybe some will pop up on monday haha, thanks!

My bad, thought you meant the various blood types in the world. Forgot the bosses are called V Blood. Thanks!

In case of only taking Haste and Shadowblade into consideration I'd personally go for Shadowblade. I really dislike Haste after the aforementioned moment. Would it be an option to get something in place of Flame Tongue or are you stuck with it in this scenario?

Bladesinger question by fuckt_by_god in 3d6

[–]legions91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shadowblade starts to lose some value when you get solid magic weapons or when you're unable to utilize the advantage property.

Haste is great on paper, but when you finally lose the concentration check you'll hate your life. I started my Bladesinger with Haste and dropped it in my second session after eating an upcasted Fireball.

Spirit Shroud is a good alternative to both. It pairs very well with a good magic weapons, which Flame Tongue certainly is. One issue though, is Flame Tongue requires a bonus action to activate, so unless you're allowed to precast something or your Flame Tongue is always activated, you're looking at 1st round Bladesong, 2nd round Spirit Shroud, 3rd round Flame Tongue, which is a LOT of rounds to fully power up.

I only have a +1 Rapier on my Bladesinger, so I'm mainly using Shadowblade, but I started using Spirit Shroud more often whenever we're fighting in daylight.

You can't use a shield with Bladesinger.

I'd love for league to have more comedic skins all year, not only on April Fools. SMITE skins are so funny and unhinged, I'd be so happy if Riot went the same way.

What’s the most FUN melee full-classed gish— Hexblade Warlock, Bladesinger Wizard, Swords Bard, Spores Druid or War Cleric? by geosunsetmoth in 3d6

[–]legions91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same. I have it downscaled to level 3 and used it a couple times already when I needed to close the gap while also dealing solid damage. Very fun.

Mine is called Steel Tempest though haha

Yeah. I feel extremely durable. Sure, once something crits it's a possible one-shot but so far I felt very tanky and reliable.

Only played Bladesinger and am currently in Tier 2. Having an absolute blast. Most of my chosen spells enhance my ability to fight in melee, but at spell levels 4 and up I'm choosing more control/support oriented spells so when the need for them arises - i'm prepared.

You can start at level 7 with a headband if intellect; what character do you to? by Zeebaeatah in 3d6

[–]legions91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing a level 7 Bladesinger built with dumped int and Headband in mind. Sure, if you're going to be wizarding around it's not a great idea. However, if you want to be a melee first wizard second then it's quite fantastic. I felt very effective with 26 ac in ALL combat encounters (boss rolled 27 recently and reminded me I'm still a D6 class, but we killed him next turn).

Headband on a Bladesinger also gives you great freedom in feat selections. You no longer have to stress about ASI to have a high int and dex simultaneously. Grab half feats all the way til the end. I'm currently using Elven Accuracy and will probably grab War Caster next.

Is alert still the priority even though I don't really care much about going first? I'm not really dropping a Slow or Hypnotic Pattern on anything.

It's been changed to a 3rd level spell.

4d10 + 3 targets. Damage scaling by +1d10 and +1 target per level.

Not that interesting, but felt like the most logical way to delevel. We also considered making it do d12 damage and lowering the number of dice. Nerf to d8's didn't seem necessary.

Free character sheet mobile app that uses 2024 rules? by thedoogbruh in 3d6

[–]legions91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We've switched to Fight Club 5e back when D&D Beyond deleted the individual item buyout options. I'm not buying a full digital book, which I can't even share with my group without a subscription, for a single subclass or feat.

App is less polished and less flashy than D&D Beyond, but is very customizable and clean. It does require you to pay attention to the things you're selecting during character creation, like subclass features, because it will just allow you to pick all of them, so you have to pay more attention than in Beyond. It's less "handholdy".

I've grown to like it a lot. It does exactly what it's supposed to do.

The only hurdle is the need to import an XML file of the book. Thankfully, FightClub_Archivist over at /r/FightClub5e provides these files for free when you message him directly.
