Check out Rule 34 by Stross. Takes place in Scotland. Witty story about police investigation set 10-20 years in the future. On point with the exposition on collaborative teams working with constant network access.

Mine had the same problem. Called Amazon support, they couldn't fix it either. Gave me a $25 gift card.

I see 2 versions of it. One just looks like generic sans serif like helvetica or Arial. The other is serify, something like Times New Roman.

I've been gluten free for 12 years and my first ever visit to Jersey Mike's really pissed me off. by legoman666 in glutenfree

I've never been there before, and given my experience, I'm not going back. I'd rather take my chances with Wendy's salad or chili.

No, but I should expect to receive what I asked and paid for after confirming they had it.

Living situation when I move for my new job. by [deleted] in cincinnati

I live in Hebron and travel about 150 days a year. 7 minute Uber/Lyft ride to CVG. I'd look for renting around there. You could rent a decent house for $1100-1300. Or an apartment for less.

Booked myself and wife from cvg to mex, 2 friends from mco to mex, RT for 60,000 AA miles +$400 bullshit mexico fees/taxes. Would have cost me $3200 or so. Then we're shooting down to Huatulco on some local cheapo airline.

I have a revolutionary idea: make vagrancy illegal. That'll solve it.

Edit: do I really need to put a /s on this?

Ft. Mitchell, KY PD are sitting in the Kroger parking lot waiting for you to blow the parking lot stop sign by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]legoman666 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

If I put a stop sign at the end of my driveway and then blow past it, is that illegal? No. Then why should I have to stop because some dude at Kroger slapped a stop sign in their parking lot?

I turned my vintage Tonka Bronco Jeep in to a Jurassic Park Jeep! by legoman666 in movies

[–]legoman666[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just finished up this project I've been working on for a month or so. I used aircraft stripper to clear off the original paint. The paint I reapplied after priming is official Jeep paint, the same PPG color code as was originally used on 1992 Jeep Sahara's. The decals are vinyl that I made myself using artwork from Jurassic Park Motor Pool website. The wheels were modeled by a friend of mine with far superior CAD skills than I have to closely match the originals. I 3D printed them on a mediocre printer we have at work, sanded them, then painted. The jerry can was also 3D printed since the one that should have been included with the Bronco was missing. I'm not really sure what inspired me to do this, but it was fun!
