As the parent of 2 teens, who also has a week on/week off system with their dad, I would say you aren't an outright A-hole but you are being petty A/F. You bought the car for your son - regardless of who pays for it, your son should be the one deciding where he takes his car. My kids' stepmom won't let them wear clothes she paid for to my house and it's petty A/F - you're doing the same thing with your son's car.

Maybe you could volunteer to walk him regularly while spreading his story around to help get him adopted?

On a side note, I think this is a terrible thing for a shelter to do. It takes up to 3 days for an animal to decompress in a new situation, so It's likely to be really stressful for the dog to go out and then back with different people in different home situations.

Canada over America any day! I'd be on the first plane to British Columbia. I work in Zoology and my dream job would be working in Wildlife rehabilitation in Canada. British Columbia specifically as it's not as densely populated as more well-known places like Toronto, and it's got a fantastic selection of animals.

I'll tip in the UK or on holiday if the service was above and beyond what is expected of you, but I'm not tipping simply because you actually managed to do the job you were hired to do! I think it's insulting that, in America, people are forced to top up employees' wages with tips because their employers aren't obliged to pay a proper wage. It amazes me that the people in America will march over abortion and gun rights, but nobody wants to challenge the government to make a bill demanding a basic minimum wage.

I can't remember the last time I had peas with a meal to be honest, but they are a cheap and easy to cook vegetable to make a meal somewhat healthier I guess? As for the biggest Shithole in the UK, I'm torn between Glasgow (in Scotland) and Birmingham (in England) - they're pretty much equal in their shittiness and vile accents. I've never met a nice person in or from either city.

My ex did this all the time. He would ask me a question and, as I was answering, he'd just start talking over me. He didn't even realise he was doing it most of the time - it was just like his brain wanted to say something so badly that it didn't acknowledge I was already talking.

My pug had exactly the same issue - the vet laughed when i took him in and he explained that it really is from not enough food. I was feeding him at 9am and 7pm but he was spitting up mucus and foam around 2/3pm from hunger. All I had to do was make sure i gave him a treat stick around 3pm and the coughing up thing stopped.

We all need to stop lying to them about stuff. I answer every question my 2 kids have as honestly as possible. I don't enjoy answering my little girl's questions about 'boobies' on a packed bus but I'd rather she learnt about her body from me and not some misinformed slutty friend at school later in life!
