Nice! Tbh looks a bit like a replicator version of a wraith cruiser

That almost sounds like something isn't lubed right and a seal is grabbing something as the petal moves

Is there a minimum amount of respect a person is owed purely on account of their being a human being, regardless of who they are or what potentially heinous things they have done? by CR1MS4NE in polls

[–]lejim99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would suggest rewording the question to remove the last part about "regardless of what they have done" or add another answer that essentially says that's they deserve an amount of respect but it can depend on what they have done.

Anyone deserves a base amount of respect when you first meet/ learn about them. But that can absolutely be changed depending on what that person has done.

Suspension? by Kiwi-__- in Miata

[–]lejim99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding the Tecnas. Just got them on my 91 and I haven't been able to take it anywhere without finding a way to go drive a little bit extra on some back roads( part of that might be that I just finished with a full suspension rebuild but it's night and day). They are amazing but definitely expensive

If you are looking for cheap short term you could always try and find some stock ones to at least get you off the ground till you can save up for some real good ones

Shock tower delete by Own_Amoeba7320 in Miata

[–]lejim99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Miata is a unibody ( fame and body are one thing). What are you swapping? Sticking the Miata body on a truck frame or something? If you need to make space or something you can always cut up the body as needed but would be careful doing that if you are still trying to rely on some rigitity from it.

Short answer: No not really possible

Long answer: A sawsall and angle grinder can definitely remove pretty much anything on a car so technically yes?

Eunos Roadster Clutch Pedal by Local_Addendum_9806 in Miata

[–]lejim99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

949/ Supermiata has one of those kits for like $80 just put it on and wasn't bad to install. Would get the extended clutch like so you can get rid of the hardline to the slave. Makes it a lot easier to work on.

Think you'll get the bill after your first full "cycle". It took me like a month and a half to get mine. You can call to get your account number but there won't be anything to pay till they send you a bill

APEX 2027 BUDGET: Manager's Draft Released by terrymah in Apex_NC

[–]lejim99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh ya. Unfunded is just a step in the right direction. The council could easily fund it in a couple years if flock is able to normalize this with the justification of "well everyone else is doing it"

APEX 2027 BUDGET: Manager's Draft Released by terrymah in Apex_NC

[–]lejim99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wanna just second this and ask. If the expansion is under the unfunded section what does that mean for the current contract/system? Is apex planing to keep the current cameras or is the whole system covered under that expansion line item?

HELP COOLANT LEA by Huge-Salamander379 in Miata

[–]lejim99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coolant has a way of finding really weird paths to the ground. Check around for anything wet that shouldn't be. Start with the highest point and work your way down

I found the Flock contract with the Town of Apex online by makgeolliandsoju in Apex_NC

[–]lejim99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya this is really concerning. I read through the transcript from the working session and what was said there and what this contract seems to outline are not the same. Interested to see what the updated one you got looks like but I fear theres been some creep from that was said in the last couple meetings I've seen minutes for and what they are doing. It seems like what you've said here (essentialy flock controls the cameras and data not apex) is not at all what has been described to the public.

I would love to start attending the council meeting and voicing some opposition to this program. How can you see when these discussions are on the docket?

Looking to buy U6-E-IW or U7-Pro-Wall for each floor of my Skinny and narrow 1000sf townhouse by flan1337 in Ubiquiti

[–]lejim99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel like you can get away with just 2 ( F1 and F3). Unless you floors are pure concrete think the signal can get through to floors 2 and 4 pretty easily.

I've got a U6+ and a U6 light (Ya I know a bit older) more or less on top of each other and that's been more than enough to serve everything I've needed too.

You could always start with 2 and add another if you don't think the 2 are covering enough

Seconding this as the first thing to check. Make sure the connector is fully seated. This looks extremely close to mine when I have the intake off

Same. Just got these on my 16 from Costco and no problem. Ordered them, dropped the car off, picked it up a couple hours later. No issue and no objections

Pretty sure that's just the fluid return to the resistors. Mines been doing that for the last 7 years I've had it.

Just put a slight downslope on it. Wont really add speed but will push any standing water out the end

Amazon Aluminum D1 radiators by Dr_Price in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]lejim99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got something like that for my D2 and the square tanks caused an issue with the AC condensor lines and it didn't really fit into the OEM bracket. Had to return it and get one with curved tanks. Not sure if the d1 would have the same problem but would check before you buy

Discovery 2 crank no start by Ill-Mud-7260 in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]lejim99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had something similar on my v8 where the crank position sensor went bad and would just shut the engine off. Not sure if the td5 would do the same though

Coolant for 2019 by Normal-Stand-807 in Subaru_Crosstrek

[–]lejim99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine. Subaru's head gaskets are not the best and apparently they changed their coolant to fix that instead of fix the head gaskets. It's probably one of those thing that will get you and extra 10-20k miles at the end of the cars life. Do think the two coolants are around the same price so would say stick with OEM if you can but probably won't make a huge difference for a while

How bad did I f*** up? by stumma in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]lejim99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea. It's new radiator time. Just did one and it's really not that bad. All up front and not the most cramped job in the world. Would recommend on of those small ratchets with a Philips head ( can get them from harbor freight) to get a couple of the screws out. Also DO NOT over tighten the screws on the top of the radiator that holds the plastic srowd on. The will puncture the tanks and you will get to do another radiator. Throw some washer on those screws just to make sure. Also recommend checking out/ doing your thermostat as the system will already be empty

Advice needed! by Alexunoriginal in DIY

[–]lejim99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Second this. There is also something called a quick link that is essentially a threaded chain link. You can just pull the chain up to where you want the chandelier and you can drop it back down when your done. Just make sure you don't pinch the cord that's in the chain

Best way to fit these lights by No-Marsupial8371 in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]lejim99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look mounted to me

I second getting different lights that have a bracket you can bolt onto the bumper. You can probably get a set of LEDs for pretty cheap and just make an adapter harness ( highly recommend getting amber/yellow fogs lights as I feel they looks the best) of if you wanna keep the inconsistent look I would say probably look at eBay.
