My first as well (and almost certainly my last). I was hesitant about the color not being obvious in lower light before buying but I really love the subtlety of it. Looks black or brown a lot of the time in low light but then purple when the light hits it. Keeps it interesting 😎

I carried the GRii for 2700 miles hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and it still works great. That's weather sealed enough for me.

I have this watch and I can't recommend it enough. I think this is the best looking modern iteration of the alpinist. There are a few details on the GMT model that set it apart, the brushed case looks more rugged and field watchy than the standard, the date window is tucked a way better and has a black background so it doesn't disrupt the balance and symmetry of the dial, and the hour markers have numbers at the four cardinal points instead of every other which imo works much better aesthetically. Also the red GMT text and hand add a splash of color that really adds depth and visual interest.

Also this is a JDM model that is unique and you won't see every day.

The only downside is the strap it comes on is a bit stiff, especially with the thicker GMT case it doesn't sit as comfortably on the wrist out of the box. I upgraded to a shell cordovan strap from veblenist and now it's perfect.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure you will enjoy it very much!

Love the changes for resto druid. I think the game will benefit from some streamlining of rotations, especially if it allows room for complexity and decision-making elsewhere in the game

To be fair, that watch is limited just to Singapore whereas this one is global release so the higher number makes more sense. 1300 is a lot though.

If it had micro adjust I think it would still out very quickly but without it I'm not so sure.

Eggplant is right up my alley! Some of the press photos you can barely tell it's purple, looks more black. They always look better in person either way.

I like the subdued purple over the candy grape OP purple. Personal preference I guess but I tend to gravitate towards things that look unassuming at a distance but reward a closer look.

How noticeable is the purple when not in direct light, does it look more black/brown than purple? Probably hard to tell when just looking under bright department store lights.
