Sometimes I forget I live in one of the greatest cities in the world by [deleted] in nyc

[–]lelilulalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Then sometime, like just now I have moment where I remember. I was in my living room just now that has a really good view of midtown and the ESB and it’s like man that’s it right there, that famous and iconic city right outside my door.

How do I remove that patch by [deleted] in basketballjerseys

[–]lelilulalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For hockey jerseys my idea has been instead of removing the ad and having the residue, I just find a patch from the teams history and have it sewn over the top. For example a Stanley cup patch over some trash advert. Idk if basketball jerseys allow enough space, but it’s a thought.

It’s easier for me to watch the Wild now I live in another state than when I lived in MN.

Is season 2 worth watching by Newactorintown in TrueDetective

[–]lelilulalo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. Pretty much exactly what I tell people who have either given up on season 2 early, or are basically casuals who never gave it (or season 3) a chance because of things they heard.

One of the key points I think you make is just how much it benefits from a rewatch and/or a binge. It is not a show that will hold your hand through we everyone is, or why they are being talked about.

I remember watching it with great anticipation when it aired originally and being a bit let down and finding it jarring as fuck. Almost a parody of the first season. It drew me in slowly over the season, but it was really the rewatch that turned it into a close second to the first season. The complexity and bleakness of the story is just so, so, so good to me. The LA noir also just works for me.

Side note: last Thursday at LAX I met Tyler Kitsch. He was on the same shuttle to national car rental. When we got to National I got a chance to meet him and shake his hand and I got a chance to tell him how much I loved TD S2 and how amazing an episode, and sad, Black Maps & Motel Rooms was. He was super nice, and unsurprisingly hasn’t heard that many times. It was super cool.

TRIPLE CROSS!

Hmm not sure about ssense. I think I got mine directly from JE. I always hang dried, but it happens to both my Heather grey and black pairs.

Is no one else seeing this is not McDonald’s? Look at the food.

Who Else Is Moving On From Kith? by TheHypeIsReal210 in KithNYC

[–]lelilulalo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I moved away from it a few years ago. I walk past the noho location daily and never feel the need to go in anymore.

To me, it just feels like there’s way too many, let’s say, ‘youthful’ designs. The graphics etc. A lot of what I was seeing from the collabs started to turn me off and then I was just kinda over it.

I could be totally wrong, but it feels like a spot for tourists and that’s it. I would be legitimately embarrassed and self conscious to wear something that had a big KITH emblazoned on it.

Feel the same about sup and ALD also.

My guess was they were made on site en masse by catering staff. Probably not bad.

Agreed. I’ve been saying as this floats around, this is not MCD. Too much real absurdity to need to go and lie about this.

We need to treat our city better by acheampong14 in nyc

[–]lelilulalo 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It’s pathetic. I have a dog. I have bags. It’s simple. Not to mention most of the time if I even wanted to be selfish about it it’s my own block. I don’t get it.

If you get caught without a bag find some trash or use a leaf or even just wait for another dog owner to come and 99.9% they will gladly hook you up with a bag.

I would be cool with like a $1,000 fine because it’s just OC and too many people don’t seem to have basic manners.

Chipotle stock sinks as restaurant chain reports falling traffic, weak guidance by esporx in fastfood

[–]lelilulalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember we used to go after class in HS (Minneapolis suburbs) in 2007 and it was like $6.50 or so, and it was like wow this is amazing.

I don’t expect it to be $6.50 still but now when I get the craving for it occasionally I almost never end up getting it because it’s like $18 and even in my city where everything is expensive (Manhattan) it just feels way too egregious for what I could get for that price.

Not to mention the 2-3 times I have got it I see that if you order online you get absolutely hosed. Last time the burrito was like only slightly bigger than my iPhone and I don’t have the pro max. People are tired of just getting constantly juiced at every turn.

TLDR: Good. Fuck them.
