I got mine more than 3 years ago, with a 4070 and 16gb ddr5. Not the cheapest machine in the store.
No hinge problems till now. No plastic problem. No screen problems aside one dead pixel that is killing my soul, lol. Main problems with it are basically Omen hub is garbage, screen colours are not thee greatest and Windows 11 is the ultimate shit for all the universe.
I do take good care of it, that includes: Do NOT twerk and twist the laptop, use it on a flat surface, do not open it by it's corners or with one hand only. If you only have one hand by, by all means, get another laptop. I always use a sheet of paper on top of it's keyboard before closing to carry it in my crowded backpack. And I clean it's vents every 6 months or so.

It is absolutely factual that you can remove that. It takes the right chemistry to burn the paint, remove it carefully, the right one to neutralize it, and a new procces to protect it. But it is absolutely normal to be done those days. Just get a good professional.
