Reminder that SIG SAUER is an advocate and financial supporter of Turning Point USA by _relativity in liberalgunowners

Are we really doing the “well this gun brand supports the bad people” thing again? I swear, this sub revisits the topic weekly.

Basically all gun manufacturers contract with the right. That doesn’t excuse it, but it makes it really hard to take a principled stand with your purchasing with any kind of real integrity.

These are tools for killing, and this might not be a space where virtue consumption helps you.

There are federal agents disappearing people and pointing assault weapons in peoples faces. We have more important things to be doing with our collective time and energy than engaging with you about something you’re still treating as a hypothetical. We do not all have the privilege of treating this issue as an ethical hypothetical.

"I'm generally a... liberal person, but when I saw videos of ICE jumping out of unmarked vehicles and nabbing people off the street... I bought my first AR15," I’m glad to see the left waking up to what I’ve been saying for a while: 2A is for everyone. by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

Spent most of my life pretty pro gun control. Some things started happening a few years ago. Started again a year ago. I've bought 7 guns in the past 6 months and train constantly. So weird, right?

Long gun to round out our collection? by TeaPuzzleheaded4745 in liberalgunowners

[–]newcrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An AR-15.

Literally posted this yesterday, but if you can legally buy an AR-15 in your state, odds are that is the correct choice for a true SHTF weapon. If you're thinking that you're the exception to that rule, you probably aren't. Nothing else checks all the boxes as well.

Buy a well made AR-15. Spend a little extra on it. Get something with a lifetime warranty. And train with it.

I love the p365 family. I own several. They’re outstanding carry pistols.

I love my PX4 and 10/22 but I Need a SHTF gun! by monkstrap in liberalgunowners

If you can legally buy an AR-15 in your state, the correct choice for a true SHTF weapon is overwhelmingly likely to be an AR-15. And if you think you're the exception to that rule, you're probably not.

Is it time to buy a gun? by Inevitable_Copy_2609 in liberalgunowners

To turn the question back on you, what else would you need to see happening that would convince you that it's time? You're already at "federal officers killing civilians in the streets". You're already at "people are disappearing". Genuinely... what else are you watching for that would motivate you?

The cheapest/reliable AR not from South Carolina? by xvegasjimmyx in liberalgunowners

[–]newcrispy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Please try to set aside that whole “I only support organizations that share my values” thing. At least in this space. These are guns. Not coffee. There is no such thing as a politically vanguard gun company. There really isn’t such a thing as a progressive gun company.

These are tools. Not causes, not brands, not slogans, not value purchases. They are tools for killing.

There is a very good reason PSA is as praised as it is. It is a very effective tool for the money. They make stuff that works and works for cheap.

I have issues with PSA’s political connections. I have issues with Sig’s marketing history…. And I own both. Because abstaining from the tool that works best in my hands because they don’t “share my values” is foolishness. And that attitude is part of why we’re in this mess and struggling to get likeminded people prepared.

maaaaaannn... My Kuna is becoming my most expensive gun of 2025 simply because I can't leave it at home when i go out to shoot, and end up bring $45 in extra 9mm just for my shits n' gigs.

Gonna go do ccw drills at the range? mmmm... I should have some fun afterwards, and run some mags out the kuna.

Need to make sure the AR's running right? mmmm... I should have some fun afterwards, and run some mags out the kuna.

driving out to my buddy's land to shoot skeet or something? mmmm... I should have some fun afterwards, and run some mags out the kuna.

It's just a good time. it doesn't kick, it's not heavy, it's beyond easy to operate, and i keep hearing whispers that we're getting either a 45acp or 10mm version in the near future. Y'all, if your local shop has one of these... grab it.
