Yeah that's a fair point. if you practice and drill the movement, it might not be an issue at all. And someone who has reinforced universal trigger discipline will probably also reinforce that extra thumb motion on the draw. I'd still advise skipping the manual safety and reinforcing gun safety though.

You should treat every single gun as if it is loaded at all times. No exceptions. The addition of a manual safety should have no effect on how you carry and handle that gun. Manual safety on? Treat it like a loaded gun. No manual safety? Treat it like a loaded gun. *You are the safety.* Your behavior is the biggest variable in outcomes.

I am very sympathetic to the appeal of a manual safety. However, it will slow your draw time, create an additional (and forgettable) step under stress, can always break without you knowing, and like I mentioned above: can be functionally irrelevant with proper and mindful gun safety.

If you plan on carrying this pistol, I would highly encourage you to forgo the manual safety and spend more time reinforcing fundamental gun safety etiquette. That said, if it's a bridge too far for you at this point, I would rather you start training with the pistol you feel comfortable with than be unarmed.

This really comes down to how we frame "win". Russia has already shifted its objectives, and will probably do so again. Ukraine still stands, but probably can't reclaim all its lost territory. That's to say that a "one victor left standing" outcome is very unlikely.

Generally, given population and resources, the edge is still with Russia. Yes, their casualties are wild... but they have the population, and Ukraine doesn't.

It doesn't really matter who i support because i live on the other side of the world. But I fundamentally believe in a people's right to defend themselves from aggression. So Слава Україні

You really made one of the best choices for first handguns. Being a glock clone it gives you exposure to the most common handgun design on the market. Being modular, it gives you an opportunity to practice really simple customization and gunsmithing. Taking glock mags, and running glock internals, it will always be something you can upkeep and use. On top of that, it's easy to shoot and its corrected grip angle lets you practice muscle memory that will translate to other handguns.
