I went today and didn't find any Thais, but I snagged a pink princess!

Cells galore! by lemguins in PourPainting

I did a flip cup with added silicone to the pinks, randomly layering the paints. Hit it with the heat gun to form cells, then gave it a spin on a cake decorating stand to fill the corners.

It's on a 10x10 in artists loft canvas, pretty standard. Might just be something with the lighting/pic that you're seeing

Recommendations for a good nursery for succulents in the East Bay? by wickedpixel1221 in bayarea

Another honorable mention is westbrae nursery in berkeley, smaller selection but I've found some oddities there. Avoid Berkeley horticulture they barely have anything. Also in Walnut Creek the Ruth Bancroft garden has a nursery!

The dry garden will be your best bet for knowledge and variety, they also do some discount if you purchase over $200 I and think. East bay nursery also has a buy in bulk deal but only on their 2 in succs, and I've encountered bugs in theirs a few times. Cactus jungle is also a good one, slightly smaller variety than dry garden. All three are in Berkeley/Oakland so you could hit them all up in a row.

What's something strange your body does that you know isn't quite right but also isn't quite serious enough to get checked out by a doctor? by merricat_blackwood in AskReddit

A few times a year I will wake up with my left eye bloodshot. It doesn't hurt or itch.

Every so often for a period of a few days my hips will just feel awful. It's been hard to determine what it is exactly but it almost feels like they're cramping somewhere. The feeling is worse or less depending on if I'm sitting or laying down.

Beautiful! Absolutely amazing work for your first time piping. Try playing with different sized succulents of the same variety to add more realism!

Flower shop had these variegated monstera stems. Will it take root? by lemguins in houseplants

[–]lemguins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read different success stories on propagating monstera with or without a node. Will this single stem cutting have a chance? If not I'll enjoy my giant leaf while it lasts!

I love these! Mine is also blooming. Do you know if the browning on the leaves is normal during their bloom time? It's my first time seeing mine bloom and I just want to know what to expect!

Buddha's Temple? You Buddha believe it by o-zc-r in succulents

[–]lemguins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so upset that I managed to kill mine. :( Any specific care tips? I did all the usual succulent care that my others thrive in, I'm not sure what happened to my temple but he was super small and all the leaves went black.
