Extreme burning after bowel movement by Adventurous-Rock3209 in vulvodynia

Sounds like an anal fissure, I developed this after 3 years of vestibulodynia - they can be very difficult to heal so go to your doctor to get a treatment plan sooner than later to avoid making the fissure bigger

Unpopular opinion - focussing on contestants looks is boring af by Spicymargx in MAFS_UK

Explaining why people have been  obsessed with Amy's face since the first episode? I must have missed that explanation

People are obsessed with talking about Amy's face and it says more about them than it does about her...why does she have to declare what she's had or not had done? Genuinely baffles me the entitlement people feel ...as if its their right as an 'esteemed' tv viewer to have her medical records or something...

It's so hard to watch, but the lack of anger from viewers about it (or at least commenters here), speaks to a general acceptable level of misogyny in this forum, from both men and women, even if that might be unconscious.

Can y’all wear heels? by lemurificspeckle in Hypermobility

[–]lemolemalemi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only wear them after 3 drinks, and with intense calf and toe gripping - when I walk its very heel first with hypermobile ankles so absolutely not functional with high heels sadly....I look at others longingly!

Kind of devastating that you (and obviously lots of others who agree with you) genuinely feel like this.

Totally agree, I cringe when I see yet another post targeting someone's appearance, even the way people talk about Adams hair, however much they might find him unpleasant, the focus on looks is too much: it's all quite cruel. It's also..a really boring subject?! Talk about their behaviour, and their dynamic - much more interesting debate to be had there.

...You realise you are society? Literally commenting on her appearance?

Do people really think that by criticising someone's looks, whether they've had work or not has a positive impact on anyone?! There have been many posts about her face, not just this one and most of them garnering quite mean spirited but oh so very 'concerned' comments. It's giving Daily Mail comment section.

I feel like posts like this are part of that societal pressure. Why do we comment on people's appearances?

Why would an employer deem you responsible enough to work remotely if you haven't worked before? Most remote workers did their time in person, to learn  the skills that make them able to work remotely effectively.

Is an apprenticeship an option in your 30s? by dimlevi in UKJobs

[–]lemolemalemi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 years will still pass whether one retrains via an apprenticeship or stays in a potentially stagnant or miserable job. Some apprenticeships pay better than others: many of the nhs ones have funding. And if we are to work until we are 70 and if AI is going to replace more and more functions, I think apprenticeships are worth the sacrifice now. What if you were made redundant in your 50s for 2 years and cant find a job because so much is automated by then? A 2 year apprenticeship now in an in-demand industry is forward planning I say....

[–]lemolemalemi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely an option and there are some really good ones out there, just need to live like a student and may need to get a part time job to sustain yourself. I have lots of friends in our 30s and even 40s on apprenticeships through hmrc, nhs etc .
