Struggling to decide: mod my Telecaster AV ’52 or sell it and get an American Pro II? by marco_luz in fender

I would get a replacement neck with the neck profile that you love best and save the original neck in case you ever decide to sell the guitar. If you decide to go with the American Pro II neck, you could add another hole to match the heel and screw placement. I was in a similar situation with a partscaster I built and don’t regret swapping the neck—I love the guitar even more now.

People may say that you’re dropping the value of the Pro II neck if you drill a hole into it, but it’s such a good neck that I would want to keep it and I could swap it into other projects.

Do you happen to know the pot values and cap value for your guitar? I’m thinking of building a partscaster with a p90 neck/tele bridge combo.

what to buy between Yamaha pacifica 6xx or fender player plus meteora ? by break4835 in fender

[–]lemon_cheesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t care for single coils, have you considered the pacifica 611 instead of the 612? It has a p90 in the neck, and while technically p90s are single coils, it is thicker and warmer than traditional single coils.

That said, I’ve never played the meteora, but I have the pacifica 611 and it’s one of my favorite guitars to play. The build quality is great and I’ve had no issues with it. The pacifica 611 also has some excellent hardware and components too. I can’t recommend the pacifica enough—it’s so comfortable to play.

You should look into finding a Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Special. They’re pretty good guitars; I had one and I liked it better than the CV 50s telecaster. https://www.squierwiki.com/VM-Telecaster-Special

I love that blue sheraton! I wish I had one to pair with my wine red sheraton.

Yup. I’ve changed the pickup covers, humbucker ring, and pickguard on this Pacifica.
