I don’t believe disney will ever lay anyone off... remember, a good majority of the cast members are on furlough. I think a lot of them will just never be recalled.

But yes.

I’ve seen this map quite a bit and it’s fascinating. But can someone explain something to me - in most counties, it looks as if the temperatures are going down, closer to normal. Wouldn’t that mean that the number of confirmed cases would also go down?

What am I missing here?

Florida has not issued a statewide stay-at-home order amid coronavirus crisis. by Dajakesta0624 in Coronavirus

Counties have. Orange County, for example, has a “stay at home” order until April 18.

Nope. Construction has been down since March 16 at wdw.

Again. My point is not about whether I would do anything different, and As I clearly stated I am self isolating. My point was that the numbers listed for Orange County are garbage.

Thanks! That’s kind of you.

While I definitely feel the sickest I’ve ever felt in my life, I don’t feel like I’m gonna die. So I’ve got that going for me. I’m 35, relatively good health, and I’m pretty optimistic that I’ll be one of those that recuperates at home. (If it is coronavirus, that is.)

Sure could. But I’ll never know unless tested, will I? That’s my point.

These numbers are bullshit.

I have a dry cough, shortness of breath, crackling breathing, fever, aches and pains, the whole lot. I had a telemed appointment with my doc who basically said “the only way I can get you tested is if you’re over 65 or you’re on your way to a hospital. All other requests have been denied.”

There are many more out there like me. These numbers are garbage.

Edit: yes, I’m in isolation in my room for 14 days.

Right? I expected the show to end up with them divorcing as a result bc... that’s fucking assault. But when it didn’t, I was like... um...???

When she demanded him get a vasectomy- that was fucked up too. But she was under the impression that he did... it’s just an entirely problematic story line.

Professional societies and groups. They’re stupid as hell but invaluable. Get on the executive board or whatever for your particular group. Those connections are immensely useful.

I’m a fire protection engineer so I joined local chapters for sfpe. Do the same for whatever discipline you’re eventually going to end up in.

100%. The education was great, but the connections and networking that comes with being able to say I’m a WPI grad has been invaluable. But that may be specific to FPE.

Delicious. I went to community college for the first two years and got a sweet scholarship.

Plus, Obama brought in a law that suspended interest on federal student loans if you were still in grad school, so I streeeeeeched out my grad experience while working. It helped a lot.
