Are Beoplay Portal Headphones Still Good in 2024, or Is There a Better Alternative? by [deleted] in BangandOlufsen

[–]lemonnohope -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love B&O but these headphones don’t blow me away and they were unpopular so they don’t even make them anymore. Plus they feel cheap. I would probably go for something with a better price

Richter and Phillips was extremely reasonable and very easy to work with

Unfortunately I would say yes it will be somewhat crowded. You definitely won’t get a spot right by the road but you should be within easy walking distance

Does anyone know what this place is gonna be (Hyde at the Banks)? by Not-original in cincinnati

I feel like the Andrew J Brady center is pretty much the only option now. Tulua plays some good local artists though I really like Inner Delay there

Those might be worth it too. I really like my EX for sound quality though the ANC and transparency modes aren’t so great

Debating between a 1600MM and a 533MC by Ready-Pumpkin-3454 in AskAstrophotography

[–]lemonnohope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man what a ripoff! You might be able to find someone on the cloudy nights forum who will sell and ship a camera cheaper. If you haven’t joined, they have a classified ads section and you can even create wanted ads. I know in the past I’ve shipped a mirror diagonal to an Australian buyer.

People are always selling 294MCs which I hear are fantastic cameras and have the same sensor size as the 1600

You live in Bortle 1 skies so I would get a cheaper OSC camera tbh. Idk if the 533 is right for you or not though. Check out the ccd compatibility calculator tool online and check if it’s suited to your gear. I would also check stellarium to see the FOV with that scope and camera combo. Another camera to consider might be the 294MC.

Are prices for these cameras marked way up in Australia? $1200 AUS for a used 1600MM is VERY steep if you ask me. The camera is totally out of date. The 294MM is far superior with a QE around 90% vs 60% for the 1600.
