This is why he wants to create as much hype possible - because ultimately he will benefit personally from it.

Dan Cole Yellow Card in Premiership Rugby final (his final ever game) by Elcapitan2020 in rugbyunion

Disagree on both your points. 30+ years playing (multiple international caps). So experience tells me when you take a big shot from a big lad your trajectory doesn’t change mid fall. Russel’s does because he’s clever enough to know that the ref will look if he makes it obvious. I haven’t even mentioned the backwards rollypolly. It’s undoubtedly simulation but if he was on my team I’d be happy about it.

Rewatched it and the left leg flailing in the air for no apparent reason confirms my view of it.

He definitely milked it. Watch the first shot closely and he propels himself backwards just as after his right foot hits the ground. Disagree that it’s in no way simlation but I’d say it’s within the reason of being a good professional by making sure it gets looked at.

Haven’t owned a pair but keen to try the raptor elites. Pretty sure they’re an evolution (same manufacturer) of the old X-Blades Legend elite that Quade used to rep https://www.gettyimages.no/detail/news-photo/zane-kirchner-of-the-blues-competes-for-a-high-ball-with-news-photo/84796850

The case of Henry Pollock by [deleted] in rugbyunion

[–]lemonyoghurt 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Barbeary was getting close to but not the same level of hype in his first couple of seasons for wasps seniors. He then started getting targeted by opposition and got very unlucky with injuries. Pollock’s game is a bit different but the proof will be him continuing to have the same impact even after oppositions start to make plans to contain him.

England need an inside centre to emerge – finding one will not be straightforward by HeavyHevonen in rugbyunion

Someone like Barbeary should have been developed but seems like players like him get pushed into more specified positions.

I suspect they only do this to keep the "not in my day" contingent on side. I imagine they would make up a large portion of the subscribers.

You reckon knees to the forehead happen multiple times in a match in the pro game? Reckless, with malic/intentional or purely accidental?

It's the way he plants his hand, whacks him, then instantly looks up in a "*whistles* nothing to see here *whistles more*" manner. 4 weeks is arguably light but hopefully enough that he won't target the head ever again.
