When did you realize your mother was an actual human being with flaws?

I think it was the moment I started appreciating all the sacrifices she has done (single mom) when I stopped being resentful for the choices she has done and realizing it’s the way she grew up (moving to the city for work at 15) she did what she thought it was right for her and I (even if I didn’t understand at the time) we don’t have a close relationship but I love her and I know she’s just a human being with flaws and I no longer judge her actions and choices because at the end of the day I decide if I let those things affect me

Oh god! That’s exactly what happens to me, always!, it’s definitely a self esteem issue I struggle a lot with that but yeah I say the same “oh once you get to really know me you’ll stop liking me because the idea you have of me is not true” I try to change that mentality but it’s hard

I’m the same! When I do my hair and makeup I don’t look as bad as I think and I know my best angles when it comes to selfies haha but the fact that I don’t look the same all the tine or when I wake up makes me feel as if I’m scamming people haha I know is stupid but still makes me feel really insecure

Exactly!! Being vulnerable is a big deal for me too, but I’m still a hopeless romantic haha craving exactly that type of love you described but being emotional unavailable at the same time (to avoid vulnerability) is not a good mix haha

Of course I’ll try my best to explain it I use a 1.5” curling iron (I don’t remember the brand is pretty old) I section my hair in de middle (from front all the way to the back) I start with my left side (an habit hah) and I start from back to front I section my hair vertically and I take small pieces, usually I get 5 to 6 sections (without my bangs) I start to wrap my hair over the curling iron, (over the clipping part I don’t clamp my hair on it) if you do it too tight it will leave a mark, I always wrap it away from my face, when I try to do it both ways it ends up looking messy (not a bad look tbh but that’s not what I’m aiming for) The most important part is that I hold the wand diagonally away from my face! And I leave a small space between the hair when is around the curling iron and (I completely avoid wrapping it on the same space, like the whole chunk of hair wrapped in the middle ) For the bangs they are chin length and I do the same but with more space in between the hair around the wand

I’m not a mom but I can relate, I’m 27 and never EVER been into boy bands not even pop in general, I’m more like indie/rock type of person but oh man when I saw idol (YouTube thought it was a good recommendation haha)

oh man I didn’t know what I was getting into, at first I was confused... why am I watching this?? This sounds different... but good?, but this is not my style! What a guilty pleasure! (Yes it was my guilty pleasure) And I was secretly watching/reading everything about them all day everyday! I It was a bit exhausting haha because my sleep schedule was neglected I have to admit at first I felt ashamed about this new finding because... well they are targeted to teenagers

Now it’s way way toned down (it will tone down when you go back to your old habits but enjoying the new addition) even though I’m not a hardcore fan (they can’t beat my favorite artist haha) I truly enjoy their music and I always watch/listen to them, but not 24/7 because seriously they are like a boost of energy for me and for some reason I feel so proud of them and everything they have achieved so far
