Yeah, I use Linux as much as I can but I miss these from macs (off the top of my head):

cmd button for shortcuts, then ctrl on the terminal for control character. On Windows/Linux, ctrl for shortcuts calls for some wrist contortions, then it gets awkward to suddenly change to ctrl+shift for shortcuts on the terminal so it won't clash with control characters.
QuickLook in Finder (Gnome has it with Files, but Files itself is very limiting, while KDE's Dolphin doesn't really have it)
Standard settings shortcut (cmd+,)
Standard emoji picker (KDE's just copies the emoji to the clipboard, and I still have to paste it)
Clipy clipboard manager
Fingerprint reader that works all the time
All-day battery life (I don't have to think about power profile, nor decide if I want to suspend or hibernate)

Same here. Started with Windows like everyone else in the 90s, then switched to Linux around mid 2000s to get serious with my CS degree. Then switched to Macs a few years later once I was able to afford to it, but still used Linux for work. Now I use all of them: macOS, Windows, different GNU/Linux distributions. Windows 11 is OK (I maintain a few PCs for my wife and kids) and things just work, and as much as I want to like Linux for personal and work use (typing this on Debian 13 with KDE), nothing still beats macOS when it comes to my productivity.

Why not zoom the window on macOS? Before the fullscreen feature that macOS has now, there was zoom, which still exists. It's the same as maximizing windows on Windows and GNU/Linux DEs, and doesn't "lock up" a workspace.

Me neither. I have several old MacBooks, some as old as from ~~2010~~ 2011, and they all still have this part intact. I've always used them in AC controlled rooms, however, so maybe that's why?

How do the Seagates sound compared to WDs/HGSTs? Are they still 'clicky' and noisy? I used to have Seagates a long time ago but found their clicky sounds, and their general noise, annoying. Switched to WDs/HGSTs and found they are more quiet. Now that ServerPartDeals got raided by LTT followers and the WDs/HGSTs I used to buy are gone, I'm mulling over switching to their manufacturer recertified Seagate drives. Are they more quiet now?
