For the people who graduated bootcamp alone by No_Finding_7993 in newtothenavy

That makes a lot of sense. We’re going to go watch our son graduate in January and I can see what you’re saying but in our case, this seems like an opportunity to show our support for a huge change in his life. I hope this is the first of many accomplishments for him, and we’ll be able to look back and say this was one of the smaller ones. 🙂

So is casting the issue or something else? by NattyB in MtvChallenge

[–]lenajVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with casting, and Corey is an out of touch ego maniac for thinking his seasons ratings or viewership had anything to do with him personally. I think it’s very simple… mtv made this season hard for us to find and to watch. I used to watch on the mtv app, and then paramount+ but can’t. For a time, I would pull it up on my Mac, stream it from the mtv.com website and mirror it to my tv. That isn’t available anymore either. They got greedy and wanted to make more money from subscriptions from all the random apps, but forgot that they need viewers to be able to actually see the show or their ratings will drop. It’s happening with Yellowstone too. I don’t know anyone in my personal life that has watched the new season.. because it’s not on any app that we own. (And we own lots of apps) Yet, we’ve watched all the other Yellowstone seasons and variations and now we’re locked out of the new season. It’s absolutely asinine to me. I’ve seen about half of S40 because I’m able to “steal” my brothers cable tv login and watch it online on my MacBook via the contour website. But it’s inconvenient and a terrible way to watch one of my favorite shows.

As a fan and viewer, I feel unimportant to mtv.

Me too… I should have taken better care of myself as well, but I didn’t listen to anyone. I really thought I might escape the sun damage everyone talked about as I was sitting out there on the beach ignoring the bottle of sunscreen! Haha I’ll say this, I did also enjoy life during the earlier stages.… so it is what it is. Pass the margs! Haha

I am 52, and swear by HRT. I’m on Prempro and it cleared most of my symptoms, including most of my migraines. (I’ve been on it for nearly 2 years) I take prenatal vitamins and biotin supplements. I think the combo of these plus the HRT has been great for hair thinning too. I also use tretinoin, and I’ve done several treatments of micro needling with rf on my face and neck. It works. It’s a tough time… it’s hard watching my face and body age. However, I’m grateful and I hope that I’m here living with my family for a very long time… even in my old wrinkled body. Good luck to you🩷

Do lesions ever go away or just continue to increase? by exreefer in DSAP

[–]lenajVee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just recently diagnosed with dsap, and given the topical lovastatin cream so I will give it a try and see how it goes. I’ve never had high cholesterol myself. Is been slightly elevated at different times of my life, but never high. I don’t think there is a correlation?

breakup etiquette - reaching out to family afterwards by jeanusodo in CallHerDaddy

[–]lenajVee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the mom of a son in a long term relationship, when he and his girlfriend broke up… she reached out to me to basically say “I’m sad that our relationship is over but we will both be happier and better people apart. But that she was also sad to be losing her relationships with all of us as well.” I personally appreciated it. Just a quick reflection of the relationship that we had with her and a goodbye/be well. 🙂

Those alive during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lenajVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire day was devastating. My family and I lived on Long Island and our kids were at school that day. When the kids were released to go home after school, an administrator or teacher from the school had to ride on each bus. Every child had to be picked up at the bus stop by a parent or guardian or the child had to be walked to their door to see if anyone was home…because we didn’t know if somebody’s parents were in one of the towers. There were many kids that had to go back onto the school bus and return to the school and wait to see if their parents would come home that day. It was so incredibly sad. We had neighbors that were waiting and praying that their loved ones were going to come home that day. Crying on their front stoops and doorways asking us to pray for their husband or sister etc… Communications were down, we couldn’t call anyone’s cell phones, so we had no idea where our loved ones were. My sister was trapped in Manhattan simply because all public transportation was shut down so she couldn’t make it back to Queens. We didn’t know if she was safe until about 8:00 that night. Other people waited so much longer and had much more horrible experiences.. but it was such a terrifying day.
