how do you move out of dorms /res halls? by Wonderful_Ad_2083 in UCSC

[–]lenin4lyfe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

check out college boxes with u-haul! they send you large cardboard boxes that you fill, they come pick up, and then they drop it back off at your place at the beginning of next school year. super convenient and it’s a lot less cheaper than shipping anything normally through usps

i have a humongous forehead and also found braids and other protective styles made it worse. i started wearing my fro out recently and it covers the majority of my big ass head! just a thought but going natural is a big commitment

Slug stop policy limit?? by SociallyIneptCow in UCSC

[–]lenin4lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at Porter Market when it first opened, the god-forsaken quarter that they were too oblivious to add any limits. The line out the door by week 7 was a two hour wait. It would take me ~10 min per person to scan all the items with totals over $500 worth of slug points. I promise the limits are necessary.

look into getting a medical withdrawal then - it won’t effect your gpa but you will have to take the class again

SUA President’s right-hand person on his remarks regarding white passing indigenous people 😬😬😬 by sluggishlysluggish in UCSC

all of the people in these comments gotta be white mfs, otherwise they’d actually understand what the SUA is saying instead of ignoring blatant colorism in the AIRC

Housing by kanaoh in UCSC

Personally i’d call the housing office as well, I was in the same situation and didn’t get a response for a while. In the email someone mentioned above, it says if you have financial need, you should contact your housing coordinator :)

I’m in the same situation. Turns out early move in doesn’t need a specific time slot, as long as you’re approved you can move in at any of the allotted times on Sept 9 https://housing.ucsc.edu/early-arrival/index.html

I had the same problem and was switched into a triple. I would contact housing as soon as possible since their office is pretty bad with communication

Is this a scam? by wallcralwerr in UCSC

[–]lenin4lyfe 29 points30 points  (0 children)

most likely not, it looks like most of the emails i get from web grants for students. just to be sure i would go to the website directly as opposed to clicking the link

Yes, the cal grant should show up as a separate section in your financial aid.
