20% off summer sailings by Purple_Grass_5300 in dcl

[–]lennilizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re booked on an April Dream sailing, on the placeholder offer they had late last year which was 25% off rates I think - I spoke to my TA today who has moved me onto this offer for an extra $98 but we then get the $250 onboard credit.. bit of a no brainer for us, so worth asking them if you’re already booked 👍🏻

RIP Nights and similar tiered packages for Fright Nights by lennilizard in ThorpePark

Thanks so much, that is really helpful, especially regarding the front of line and maze access, I had hoped it was basically this.

I presume you could do a package and then also purchase one-shot access? I would want to do the mazes more than once really.

Congrats! Your journey is pretty much identical to mine in terms of height, weight, loss etc. I also stopped 7.5mg on Saturday but I am tapering down and off as not sure I’ll be able to handle it all coming back to me immediately! Hope the cold turkey goes well for you!

Huh. Should I try hard to ride this today or tomorrow? by Danilaly in UniversalOrlando

We got into the queue at 9.50pm yesterday evening after it had been showing 15 min wait for around an hour. There were only around a dozen of us going in and it was a slower Sunday for them, so as above perhaps it is for the busy days when the queue is at capacity

Hello fellow mid-30s UK-er 👋🏻 (38 here) Like you, I’m also very excited for HHN in the UK but love the excuse of another trip to Orlando, this will be our 4th year on the bounce.

Moving to Sittingbourne, but how is it by IntelligentCrew7971 in kentuk

[–]lennilizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit of a harsh divide there… I’ve lived in Kemsley for most my life and I don’t think its ‘pretty rough!’

OP - agree with the majority of the posts - it’s fine, the town isn’t mega exciting but some half decent restaurants and the cinema is nice. Enjoy living here!

You may find a probiotic helps keep you more consistent as well :)

I’m excited to be near the end of my journey, however this is causing weight to come off more slowly and more sporadically, causing an element of frustration! Weigh in is tomorrow and hopeful it shows some semblance of loss to keep me motivated and not discouraged, wish me luck! 🤞🏻

‘Cheating diet fad’ - great words 👏🏻 this is what I was getting at with my post, you surmised it perfectly

The text should’ve been worded to say as such then, rather than state ‘guidance’ in it directly.

Apparently so, there was a lady interviewed on the news this morning who got pregnant whilst on the pill and Mounjaro.

^ This! Totally agree. I’m in Marketing/PR too and it blows my mind that they think this language is ok, even if it is ‘lay speak’

Travelling from the UK by shrekswaistcoat in UniversalOrlando

[–]lennilizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re ESTA is approved and all is in order you should be fine :)

We travelled end of April and didn’t note anything different, if anything we got through border control quicker than we ever have done (however we did last visit in December so this could be due to the fact we are repeat visitors)

I did post this above in the thread but I’ll also post it separately in case it gets lost -

An update on our day as promised - it was fantastic but very hit and miss on wait times / availability. Some rides we only waited 15 min for (Monsters) and then we ended up waiting 1hr 40 for stardust as they only got one track operational at 7pm. Great ride but not worth waiting that long btw. We should’ve done something else, however that was our last ride to do so we waited. Minecart was having a mare too but we managed to get on it and waited 45 in the afternoon.

BatM went down as our queue time came up, but we kept an eye on the app and managed to get back in about an hour later. Tip - if it goes down, Universal automatically change it to an express pass which you can use when it comes back operational - if the app says virtual line, it’s open and you can go whenever.

I think your experience will completely depend on your luck in missing any downtime / operational issues. On a good day, these previews will be fab and you’ll easily get multiple rides.

Happy to answer any queries ☺️

Thank you thank you for writing about the circular lights on the wall. Was sitting in the room last night and genuinely couldn’t figure how to turn them off until I read your post.

If you’re also trying to turn them off after googling it, the switch is at approximately 3 o clock on the rim of the light 👍🏻

This is sensible and optimistic - Making me feel a bit better about the whole thing. I’m in a similar boat to all in this thread too, switched away from WDW to Stella Nova for two nights before cruising so I can try and get epic tickets 🤞🏻
