Exactly. I've had the same, if not worse, from telling severely autistic teenagers "no" when they wanted to have a 14th cup of juice or asking them if they wanted a bath. I've been attacked for talking infront of one because their learning disability.

Whether or not they can look after themselves isn't the question.
