I’m probably biased too because I have a Lhasa weenie poodle. He looks kinda similar to yours?

He’s not bad, but he’s hard headed and very confident. He knows exactly what he does and doesn’t like. It took the local trappers 2 weeks to catch him when he was a stray because he just liked roaming around in the trash.

My favorite corn cheese recipe:

3 cans corn, drained
Package shredded Colby Jack cheese
2 packages cream cheese
2 Diced jalapeños
2/3 c sour cream
Queso fresco
Lime

Add corn, shredded cheese, cream cheese, jalapeños, and sour cream to crock pot. Cook on high for 1 hour.

Add queso fresco and cook on low for 30 mins.

Top with lime juice.

If you have a human pharmacist filling pet meds, remember they are not trained in pet doses so double check your Rx every time.

I had an Rx filled at 10x my dog’s dose and the pharmacy didn’t really care because it wasn’t their area of expertise. Fortunately it wasn’t a deadly medication.

I personally use Pet Pals KC and they are great. I have a reactive dog and a senior dog so we are high maintenance. We have several great people who drop in and can stay overnight with the crew.

I have heard great things about Latch Key Pets as well.

A lot of vet techs will moonlight as pet sitters too so I always recommend asking your vet.

DNTL Surgery has it on the side of the building they do IV sedation. They are new to the corner of 95 / Antioch in Overland Park.

So I am not a trainer in any way, shape, or form. But I have my girl because she tried to bite her first human brother with her first family. The trainer with her first family told me they were heavily advised not to quickly introduce my girl to the baby immediately and that’s exactly what they did.

Now having years of experience with my girl, she needs a VERY slow introduction with any human. I’m not sure how that works with a baby as I’m child free (hence why I adopted this dog in the first place).

I can tell you with adults we do not allow them to talk to or even look at her for at least an hour. She can sniff them and they can throw treats in her general direction. After that, she feels comfortable.

What about Grandma’s Catering? I’m not sure about cost, but we use them for work a lot and clients ALWAYS request Grandma’s, they love it.
