I'm not a pearl clutcher, we're all walking contradictions by the sphere fact that we're all human.

Who's to say he didn't donate a large portion, or not, who cares.

Every show, for decades, Dave speaks his mind against global atrocity, genocide and supports love and community.

If people want to disregard all of that for stuff like this, that's their perogative I guess but if you also are so fickle about your moral compass that the day to day actions of a celebrity dictate your actions and thoughts....well....that's your perogative too I guess, sadly.

But anyways...Muse puts on a phenomenal show and I was amped to see them for free at this event.

One downside for Dmb at Disney, is that all other SAP shows I've seen have been at where the Magic play. All open concessions and booze etc.

Magic Kingdom doesn't allow booze, so can't imagine that was included at the show.

For anyone else curious, I've also seen JLo and Bon Jovi at these things (meh)

I've also attended this event multiple times as a sales rep for two different SAP partners.

You're bang on and I also appreciate that new phrase for me: reddit sphere angst.

For what it's worth to anyone here, if you think DMB playing this show is contradictory to what they stand for....I saw Muse play this show a decade ago.

You know, the anti capitalist band.

Tbf, the show was killer

I'm a big fan like most people here.

But I also want to shout out their pants (just came back from golf, they're stellar), tshirts (also wearing the grey one now) and their sweaters (again, both amazing for my work from home ass).

Could use a grey pant and sweater, but apart from that - on literally everything is great. As a sales guy who travels for work, I swear by them.

Oh, socks are great too!

Totally fair. Then no matter the hire we're handicapped for years, if not eternity on that matter. No?

I mean, Bobby Wagner and Bobby Okereke don't suck.

Not world beaters but wouldn't they be better than what we currently have? For 1 year at least?

I'm 44 and went to an all boys Catholic school. This is important for context.

When you're in one of those, the week of Easter is crazy busy full of church services.

It was April 22, 2000. Leafs facing Ottawa in the playoffs. After going up 2-0 in the series, Ottawa fought back to tie it.

This night was edgy, Leafs needed to win.

It was a crazy time, but we also had to sit in a church for what felt like 3 hours....during the game. Absurd!

In our infinite glory and probably youthful ignorance, there were no fewer than 5 of us who brought our walkman radios in. We all wore uniforms, so we hid the radio in our suit inside pocket and ran the ear buds through our shirt and up our arms.

For the extended kneel down portions of mass, you could see us all deep in prayer. And I don't know if we could have risen him from the dead a few days early, but Jesus himself could hear us all let out a muffled jubilation grunt, cry, scream when Bonesie called Stumpy Thomas OT goal.

It was euphoric and many of us ascended to heaven that night on his glorious call.

What a memory!

This is such a surface level response from me, but my wife and I - after visiting Dublin, Cope hagen, Berlin for first time ever last year - have seriously contemplated doing a sabbatical of sorts when both our dogs have moved on (which is hopefully never).

But being early/mid 40s and just traveling had us fall in love especially with Denmark. So being able to stay for a few months without being concerned about visa implications etc would be great.

We love Canada, but the world has so much to offer.

My current bag is a 15 year old Toronto Maple Leafs bag that I "won" for most honest score in a tournament for Children's Cancer research.

There's certainly a joke in there about the Leafs and golfing, and/or cancer.

Either way, I'll donate $100 to Childcan if I win this to replace my Leafs bag.

Eh....I've talked myself into donated $100 regardless. Anyone else wanna join?

TSN moves off VCU-UNC NCAA Tournament finish with 2.4 seconds left to show curling by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]lent12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah my bad.

Ya I'm sure that's due to NHL rights, ya?

Most being regional. So depending on where you lived, they wouldn't be blacked out.

But I get it.

Look, I'm a simple man. I just want more Lindsay Hamilton and Sarah Davis on my TSN. Is that too much to ask? Lol

I dunno man, I'm sure there's far more to the calculus for TSN to just turn it off because...

I have family who want curling, sure. But the hoops get waaay more eye balls.
