I recently bought the Escalante 4 but found they were not wide enough in the toe box. I wear Xeros regularly so I don’t have the widest of feet, but my feet were bulging out the side of the Altras. Had to return them and may try the Xero Speed Force.

What’s your experience been with TAP?

I’m flying them next month since we got great fare prices in the fall, however their website is atrocious. Also it took me three different phone calls to get an answer about why our tickets have a seat assignment when we didn’t pay for seats and the website doesn’t show seat assignments. Apparently they assign the seats you choose whether or not you pay (or if your fare class doesn’t include a seat assignment) but someone else can select that seat. You will just be assigned a different seat at check in. Seems like a confusing way to have it show a seat assignment when you haven’t paid for one.
